I can tell you're young from this question. All you can see of Selen is her public image, and the face she puts to stream (vtuber joke somewhere). None of us know how she's really feeling when she's no streaming. Sure, she is getting a ton of recognition and love lately but she is well-known to suffer from imposter syndrome so all of that might be for naught if she keeps thinking she doesn't deserve any of it or that she's not good enough. She has been trying more lately, she's been in more projects like the 12 days of christmas, she sang several songs for her birthday stream when she's still insecure of her singing, and had been working all year on this one cover and it's not only shut down, but it's shut down after it's out.

Half the vtuber audience (most of which aren't even viewers) are now yelling at her to graduate. Whatever the reason for that, that must fucking sting a lot after you've worked so hard in a company. Not many seem to realize the excessive negative talk surrounding Niji, and especially NijiEN, gets to a lot of livers. No matter how you personally feel about it, it will not feel good to hear people constantly tell how the place you work at is dogshit and trash, and should cease to exist. NijiEN deserves to be critiqued, but all the lashing people do is not getting to the right target.
