I’ve felt jealous, I’ve come so close to realizing dreams and glory only for one little piece to be taken out and everything crumbles, I’ve failed more times than I can count. And I’ve looked at other people and said “why them? Why couldn’t I make it as far as they did?” But it’s not their fault, they rolled the dice and more often than not worked harder or pushed the right buttons and for many reasons they got what they deserve. Over time a lot of these people became my friends and so it became only natural to be happy for them and worry less about how I compare and focus on whatever success I can achieve doing things my way, as big or as small that is.

It's actually a huge buff to be reasonably entertaining and also not American/European because of the front page exposure.

When you get 100 people from Aus/NZ/SEA that puts you very far up the category pages so you get American/Euro viewers from there anyway. Smaller pool of talent from a region means you get a small boost at the start as long as you're actually good.
