By turning appearance into a cheap commodity the only left to rely on is raw talent and entertainment value. This is why whores like Pokimane sperged out when vtubers started becoming a thing.

CodeMiko right now falls into the 'talented' category only because her 'talent' is the technology itself. That's the attraction. If her tech ever spreads and becomes less-bespoke to ever reach other people she qill quickly become outmoded. Her 'talent' ceases to be so.

tl;dr She's the west's Kizuna Ai and in three years she'll have a ton of subs but nobody will watch her streams and she'll only be brought up in mockery or concernfag threads.
