Cover's live2d app is just garbage. Everyone in Hololive has fucked up eye tracking

They should hire a better rigger, but they also hired whoever the artist was for IRyS, whose design really clashes with every other hololive member by a mile. Probably a hopeless situation, even with IRyS who is on Project HOPE.

Redjuice is a well known artist, but it's really stylistic and clearly doesn't carry over to a vtuber. There's a reason they didn't make the characters in anime adaptations of things he's been involved with look like his art.

I feel like Irys' atypical style was done purposefully by cover to try to keep the Irys/Vsinger brand distinct from HoloEN. Cover wants people to always be aware that she is Vsinger first not just another EN, and her distinct look is a part of that separation.
That's what I'm hoping. I'm trying to find logical reasons why she looks so different because I'd like to think Cover isn't always incompetent.

I don't think it's an intentional difference, it's just Cover not thinking of that kind of stuff. Roberto has the same issue where his model's atypical artstyle makes him look out of place next to the rest of the stars

Anyone else notice that all of the bullcrap drama about her "ugly" rig is almost completely gone (some exceptions) now? People couldn't shut up about it during debut but almost nobody is talking about it lately in comparison. Instead I'm seeing people admit that it's not as bad as they thought or that they've gotten used to it.

To be completely honest, most of Hololive's 2D and 3D models aren't that great in general. To me, it literally looks the same as most of the others in terms of movement, she just lacks that cutesy anime look that the others have.

That's what you're actually complaining about, because the tracking is pretty bad for most of the Holo models.

I dont use Twitter or Discord, I only watch youtube streams of my oshis and occasionally visit /vt/ to laugh at people's rrats.

Once she started streaming general mood has flipped on her quite a bit. After you get over the initial impression, she looks quite not bad, especially in motion.
Now what would be jarring is her collabs with other holos.
