Additional note: I don't like the weird electronic filter(?) inotaku adds to her vocals when she prolongs her notes or in general, I want to hear her natural voice everytime if it doesn't mess up the song, I feel like that's the reason I ended up liking Light the Light a tiny bit more than Soliloquy despite thinking I was going to like it the best (I still like the quiet parts).

All the new songs were great. Felt like Starpeggio was abrupt after BHDH but it works really well into soliloquy. Yoru closing is great. Igniter and BHDH are bangers meant for listening as loud as possible. Light the Light and soliloquy were the songs that surprised me the most. Really beautiful

Starpeggio is a great album. Not a great album for a VSinger. Not a great album for an idol. Just a great album period. I think it's Suisei's best album and for me, it isn't close.

Light the Light, Blackhall Dancehall, and Soliloquy are up there with 3:12 as the best songs that Suisei is the singer for. This is what I was expecting when MGO was first announced.

The songs with MVs are still very solid. The worst song on Starpeggio is better than the best song on Overture.

I guess I'm one of the few who likes Blackhall Dancehall... I also liked Newton the most on Specter, and no one seems to agree with me on that one.

Man, Soliloquy's lyrics are such a bummer.
Whoever of the two wrote the lyrics really hammered home that feeling of loneliness and longing with each reprise of that "100 years" line.

Starpeggio is amazing just like I knew the album would be. I have said this since the first mini album, bur this project really is some of the best work Suisei has done, and it is not only good by vtuber standards, but my general music standards.
The blend of inotakus signature very busy wall of noise stuff, the EDM influences, the orchestral string section and Suiseis voice and super catchy choruses is just amazing.

I have to say, the songs on the album do a great job at depicting an emotion and genre on their own, contrary to Overture in where it felt like every song was connected to the same tune somehow.

Light the light has its charm, perfect choice to start the album with the way it builds up to the chorus.

MLS and MM retains the cool vibes they had since they were released as singles, I dare say they compliment each other.

Igniter is just fucking badass, from start to finish, I'm in love with the guitar mix, I should've probably waited for the MV to drop since I bet it can probably enhance the experience with the song.

I still have some problems liking Blackhole dancehall but I believe much like it did with SOS, the live rendition could do it justice. if there's one thing I like about it is that its still peak EDM, and not too far off from Inotac's previous works if you dig deep enough on his past records while he was working for Namco's sound team.

The Starpeggio Intermezzo and Soliloquy are good to sort of break into the motion to change the tune into a slow paced, sort of melancholic one. One that I'm not a fan of and I think Ryusseigun did a better job in that regard.

I already love yoru so much but for some reason, being at the end of the album and with the way it was treated in the MM Exhibition Hall being relegated to the merch area feels as if the song was like an afterthought they made and kept at the end of the album instead of releasing it separately, like it happened with MLS, its weird and it doesn't change my thoughts about it in the slightest.

It's going to be a long two month wait until the live... Hopefully it's all worth it.

This MV felt like an overdramatization to showcase just how much does she irrationally despises the sun and convince Hoshiyomis we're better off without it desu.

It's a lot better than Moonlightspeed's MV, which just looks cheap. Probably why they went with heavily stylized 3D models.

Fully animated 2D is probably out of their budget.

I like it but I grew up watchin Advent Children.

I still think other songs would have been better choices for visibility but I can see why they went with Igniter. It's also the only song Suisei has songwriting credits on.
