Out of HoloEN, Irys reminds me most of Ina's style, which is more chill and laid back rather than yelling like Kiara or raging like Ame. Doesn't help that her model doesn't seem to match the energy in her voice. Sometimes she'll laugh hard, but her model is just :) . Right now, she kinda feels like NijiEN, which is nice and comfy.
Unfortunately, unless she somehow gets Ina's uncanny ability to have hilariously cute dork moments, I don't see many clippable moments. Like it or not, clips are important exposure to EOPs who don't watch streams. Hope she finds her niche in the next few streams tho.

Honestly, I feel like the main two issues with her model is that A, Redjuice's art does NOT mesh well with L2D. The character sheet and the rest of his art looks GREAT, but when put into motion it's not good. It's not the fault of the Rigger, since they've done plenty of rigging for a LOT of the other Holomems and they look fine. They can only work with what the artist gives them.

B, her style doesn't really mesh well with the rest of Hololive. On her own, she could look *passable*, but when put alongside the others, she looks out of place. Even with the multitude of artists Hololive has, they look GOOD together, like they all fit with each other. There's hardly any art style conflict.

So, yeah. Good artist, good rigger, bad synergy between the two. At least her voice is VERY pleasant to listen to, but I hope her model gets some serious upgrades in the future.

track 2 is the same as track 1. highly average, the era of solo idols was over 30 years ago cover, what were you thinking? i did enjoy this track more than the first one. both tracks scream 'anime op/ed'.
track 3 does indeed riff on myth and that's not a bad thing. this is the de facto best track, don't kid yourself. this track is the expiremental one, after two tracks that played it so safe they stayed inside for the entire rona lockdown. there's some empty space that could be filled with keys but they neglected to notice that. the abrupt ending was a bad decision, it should have repeated the chorus and faded away.

final thoughts: the hardcore weebs will probably love this. but it's nothing that pushes an envelope. at times the songs are overproduced, am i supposed to focus on her voice or the song overall? tracks 1 and 2 couldn't decide.

overall it's not bad at all, but it's not bold or noteworthy. i'm sorry cover, you dropped the fucking ball. thanks for reading my blog. PS the remix of caesura of despair sounds better than the album track.

It's in English, it's reasonably technical with some range diversity, and most importantly it requires some passion in order to sound good.
