I did try to listen to Finana and Selen and even some other phase songs, and it just sounds wrong. Something just doesn't work IMO. There can be good vtuber songs, it just needs to stop being goofy.

I kinda blame the production or maybe the process by which these songs are made. Somehow more often than not it results in virtually everyone involved chuuba included sounding withdrawn/disconnected from the song. And don't get me started on how easy it is to kill all the magic by trying to make everything song "perfect".

I also think that some of the one's that sound like "for kids" can be done right. One of my favorite hololive orisongs is "Homenobi", which is just a cute song. You can make a song thats childish, but also enjoyable. My problem arises with EN not being able to execute it
