How long you think Vtubing will be around for? You think it will be dead in a few years or will it stay a bit longer than that?

>> No.63900057

>>63898979
in 2 year or so the market will be flooded by AI vtubers, which will evolve into custom-tailored AI v-companions, made for (You) in mind.
Some people may still stream with an avatar, but the gachikoi will instead obsess over their own private virtual gf, leaving the market basically dead.

>> No.63900181

The Vtuber market is already over saturated, it's no longer the niche it once was
But that goes for regular streaming too
Just like that there will be a million streamers but only the few top famous ones and occasionally some up and comers

That is if all the top girls don't stop streaming for 3 months every time they feel a little burnout or unwell

EN vtuber market peaked in 2021 and while it's not going away it will remain a niche hobby. Japanese vtuber corpos have little influence in the western market so they have already obtained most of their potential audience.

>> No.63900562

current popular ones will lose relevance like ai/big4, but they'll still be around along with their diehard fans. also like >>63900293 says, there will probably be another viral miracle like sora's christmas, coco's asacoco, or gura's debut.

also had no debuffs/filters like bad attitude moments, aggressive shipping, low energy, too nsfw.

Who fucking cares.
Not a single person currently using /vt/ has seen even a fraction of Kizuna Ai or Kaguya Luna's videos.
None of you have done your homework and looked into the past vtuber personalities of people now operating in corpos.
You never branch out, you never look for a 2view you'll actually like, you never surprise yourself,
You know barely anything about Japanese vtubers, be they in Hololive, Nijisanji or any of the small companies.
You ask how long this will be around but you've already cast off a wide portion of it to be completely forgotten.
/vt/ is just drama baiting and spergouts now, because as it turns out this board has the most secondaries and failed normalfags on all of 4chan.

One day you will be lonely, walking in the rain with your overcoat and beat up face.

Staring up the big hologram off the side of a building, you will see a personalised AD from your favourite vtuber.

Not to take anything away from Gurina, but she existed before hololive and at the time she was the equivalent to what today we know as 2view, hell, I've seen too many people know her only as Gura. Then, why is it, she didn't explode in popularity back then the same way she did as "Gura"?
Have any other Gura killer in Gura's place and I'm pretty sure they would have also hit the 1mil line just on sheer momentum, maybe even the 2mil, hitting the 4mil barrier is the question; that example of Bijou is funny because had she been in Gura's place, I'm sure she would have also crossed the 3mil barrier since the only difference between them is Gura being the better zatsu machine and meme material.

>> No.63912984

>>63912775
Anon, Gura's previous identity had millions of views and more subs than any Holo at the time.
No joke, unironically: I went to a store the other day (in 2023) and saw a board game that is based entirely around a joke that "notGura" coined. Someone just stole that shit, made a board game out of it, and it was in Target. four years later.
She wasn't a streamer, she made memes, memes that had impacts on presidental campaigns. notGura's memes got airplay on Fox News and CNN.

probably something like what is happening to AI paintings. People who know about the industry stick around and maintain a fanbase, soulless corporations not related to vtubing try to use cheap AI to do everything in an attempt to enter the market, get called out and laughed out of the room. Investors seethe and call for vtubing to be declared a scam.

That's the thing man, she was that big in your pond. Everything else years later was topping global scale regardless of numbers, that was also the reason why most of us thought an EN branch was going to fail hard.
And after all has been said and done, nowadays you can probably ask any new vtuber fan in that same pond and they will not know who Senzy is now, only the memes, just like what happened in real time to Ui's loli requiem more recently.

So Gura was a viral meme factory getting millions of views and subs before hololive, and was a viral meme factory getting millions of subs and views within Hololive... and somehow this is suppose to downplay Gura?
Sure, fewer people know who Gura's old identity is now, she has been retired as it for over three years.
>Everything else years later was topping global scale regardless of numbers, that was also the reason why most of us thought an EN branch was going to fail hard.

hololive was behind niji in everything back then. Yet they were the ones who the algo pushed to be watched on the west. They didn't have million of views, they didn't have anything notorious, yet the JP talents were the ones who got promoted to be a global phenomenon, that's the idea you dumbass. Numbers did shit then, it was the talents and their clippers.
That aside, how the fuck I'm downplaying Gura when I'm admitting she was and is big? you retards are the ones who are downplaying everyone else in a fucked up tribal faggotry to defend some conundrum that fucking happened just because the stars aligned.
