There's not much of a difference outside of the venue when it comes to function, however privacy concerns are much greater with an outdoor one. While I've never been myself, most outdoor I've seen showcased in videos tend to be rather upscale, high fences with even higher trees or gardens without any building overlooking the establishment so Peeping Toms can't have a look. That or it'll be large balconies on upper floors where other guests can't see into it.
