Well that kind of depends on what type of shills are they getting. Some give you cut for the product sold but without front payment, while others just pay you upfront to shill it but you get nothing out of it after the gig is done.
An example for the former is the Shibuya Hal PC in collab with Galleria. He will get his money as long as it's selling so he shills it whenever he has the time to.
The latter one though is probably most sponsorships, they're pretty much just a one time deal.
