I have no clue who this is from but yeah that's pretty much it. Containment breaking was unironically celebrated in favor of tribalism and because of that this board has lost the spark that once made it fun for many anons. Doesn't help that I've seen unironic dox posted in places like /#/s where it gets left up because the jannies and mods can't be bothered to get rid of it.

honestly what's happened to this board is probably for the best in the end but it's going to keep getting worse for a while longer before the obvious conclusion to that occurs

issue is that /vt/ has buried itself under so many cumulatively stacked alternating layers of irony and actual genuine emotional investments that people have an aversion to treating shit seriously or with any sense of gravity here anymore. I'm pretty sure the only way to fix that is to let the current course of emotional saturation continue and push it along until it either grows to the point where the schizophrenia gets too serious for the shitposters to feed off of of it blow up in an incident that makes everyone recoil and change the dynamic afterwards
