the balance between asking too much from your chatters (you don't want to ask them something and wait for an answer, or make them feel pressured to participate in chat/stream) and not interacting with chat enough is pretty difficult to get right, and its one of the biggest things I see people mess up. it's not just males, and it's not just asp chuubas either

There's a guy I know that's a great streamer, powerful zatsu, great voice, BUT I'm less inclined to chat in his streams because he'll ask questions to chat and then hang the stream until you answer him. This means if I'm doing something else (which is most times I watch streams) I'll not chat because I won't want to have to pull out my keyboard and type a response to something, or have him comment about me leaving the stream if I don't answer. it puts me in an awkward place.
There's a woman I watch that is the opposite of this, super good streamer, one of the best zatsu streamers I watch, that really knows how to keep a compelling ramble going, but barely acknowledges her chat at all. I rarely chat in her streams (unless it's to respond to another chatter) because I know she won't even read it 95% of the time, or will read it 5 minutes later.
In small streams the chat experience is especially important, and it's really vital to get it right

I wanted to prove to some femchuubas in the past that you don’t have to lean into an archetype of being a “nice girl”, coomerbait, or just being extremely generic to gain numbers and gifts but as soon as I started streaming, the “menhera” archetype boomed so drastically, that I felt ashamed to even continue that route, so I opt’d out of affiliate and decided to not earn anymore money off the hobby.

But everything is already there with support, every combination of a vtuber is already existing and established, so it’ll be harder to achieve with each passing day. I want a community that would be reflective of me, and its happening bit by bit, I can’t wait for its full potential!

Fair! I’ve been trying to organize more collabs and I find those fun, but I’ve been trying to make it so that one person is live during them. Having multiple chats to read feels tedious and I don’t want anyone to get left out. But whenever I do collab I end up being silent and I want to fix that. I think what I miss the most is streaming games and actually finishing them, but I know I’m more calm, boring, and “nicer” during gaming streams compared to my usual high energy chaotic zatsus. It’s just tough to isolate and game for 6 hours when you finally have some people to watch you.

It depends on the game and your streaming style. But make a choice one way or the other. If you aren't focusing on the story a lot it's better to just skip than half ass read it or skip parts randomly. If you do it you should probably really put a lot of effort into, do voices, and try to act the parts. It can really add a lot to a stream if you try hard it and joke around and have fun with it.

Rura Taurus, Carnotaurus vtuber. Rura is a very talented, funny, intelligent, cute and interesting dinosaur who plays lots of different games primarily but she's also done drawing and tends to zatsu a lot in her streams going on random tangents.

Rura is extremely worldly and has so many different experiences that it's honestly surprising that they all come from one person. She lives in the Philippines and regularly talks about life there from the types of products stores sells, to monitor lizards in her backyard, eating street pigeons, the beaches, hiking and free diving. She also talks about her time as a cosplayer/model and she was apparently relatively successful as far as cosplayers go and dressed up as many different characters including Nero from Fate Grand Order as well as other styles of photoshoots like Lolita. Her English is extremely good and she's very fluent knowing a lot of obscure words that even some native speakers may not actually know although sometimes her pronunciation can be off but that's okay because it's very cute like she pronounces 'elitist' as 'el-i-tist' rather than 'ee-lee-tist'. Rura was also a professional Tekken player and competed in many tournaments and playing Tekken is one of her standout streams given how effortlessly she can speak to chat whilst also playing a game requiring frame perfect inputs. Furthermore, she loves her tea and is a big enthusiast and even imports special teas directly from China and India. On top of all of this Rura can also compose music, play guitar, play the piano, has done special effects makeup.
Rura also understand Japanese to a decent degree, having complete VNs in Japanese before. She is also undertaking designing her own L2D model and rigging it as well.

Rura's personality is a mix of idol, brat and sweet. She loves to playfully bully her chat and seeks out cute girls. She giggles a lot in her streams and her laugh makes me feel warm inside. She clearly puts in a lot of effort to keep chat engaged and there's almost never a moment of dead air (unless she's muted her mic because of her allergies [although sometimes she forgets to mute the mic on special occasions]). She's quite stubborn but also learns quickly and loves winning. She critically analyses how she can improve when playing games to the point of keeping a notepad of all the things she learns on hand during her Tekken streams. Her self-confidence isn't always the highest and she's prone to downplaying her own talents, her own personality and her own streams although she's always incredibly grateful to anybody who stops by her streams. She is, self-admittedly, a shut-in who never wants to leave her house and even dreads opening the door to the mailman in addition to having blackout curtains closed 2

On a more personal level, I love Rura. I think about her a lot. She has given me nothing but joy and I have integrated her stream times as part of my routine and I do my best to make time to watch all of her streams all the time. It's one of the few times in the day that I feel I genuinely smile and genuinely feel a sense of happiness just watching her play games and talking about the things she likes. She's so incredibly kind to me and she's unironically the one of the coolest people I've ever met in my life and I feel incredibly bonded to her and I want to be with her all the time. I want to consume every part of her personality, good or bad. I want to make her smile as much as I can and give her joy and the motivation to keep streaming and to fulfil her wishes and goals.

I think it’s the culture I was raised in, I was not really taught to have tack/shame when talking to others. Having a “bit” in hand and being funny to stand off warranted you more love and attention when I was growing up.
