For a more serious answer, the world building in the beginning is enough to recommend to read it, fantastic sense of atmosphere with a quirky sense of humour that Undertale later took on. Since it also deals with theme of identity, this led to it growing a very big queer community surrounding it since it resonated to that demographic a lot. I can (and have seen) plenty of straight dudes like it for the world building and characters though, after all I'm pretty sure that was the target audience when it first started
