The thing is that a lot of that kinda culture is still very much hardcore into 3dpd idols, not "fake" ones. Yes, there is still the 2d anime/whatever the fuck their own manga is called and what not, but that pales in comparison to the fanbase of k-pop idols which still rules the scene. This isn't to say that there isn't a demand for vtubers, but any female would be much more likely to succeed as just an indie idol instead and tap into that much bigger crowd. I mean fuck, the entire Just Chatting meta that happened on Twitch years ago was literally created by Korean streamers and it had a big impact on stream culture back then around the world.

Male Kpop fans are women. Women don't autistically simp that hard for other women, especially not for free. But they do simp for male vtubers who are usually japanese. Any simping they also do for korean homos falls on deaf ears except in their own circles.

Weebs are usually men. Weebs learn japanese because yamato nadeshiko. This is why clipfags usually focus on japanese vtubers, because the majority of clipfags are men and they're interested in Japanese media. Koreans just don't export enough male focused culture to even get on anyone's radar. That's why we have a jp board instead of a kr board.

Cultural exports are important, and I'm afraid beautiful men just don't inspire straight men to learn korean, and if they did then those men wouldn't be simping for female chubas anyway. Such is life.
