I can see where you're coming from since it was shortly afterwards they started distancing. I think Bae as a whole has taken the more passive role in the dynamic these days

Is it weird that I'm happy Bae is a lot more comfortable trying out different games now, not really because I enjoy watching video games streams (I usually don't in general, though I will admit I enjoy watching Lies of P) but because it might grow her audience even more?
Normally I'll be more than happy with her focusing on idol activities with zatsus and variety streams here and there, but it always seems like gaming streams are what brings audiences in to watch in these cases, plus it's nice to see Bae grow as a gamer anyway (even if I don't really care for her being a gamer per se)
