I will always cherish the memory of my affiliate celebration stream. It was the highlight of my time so far and I don't think it can really be beat. The things that went right made.me so happy that I can't bring myself to care about anything that went wrong.

A fully fledged 3D concert with really good hand tracking for electric guitar and a load of music video madness that happens live, I think this is something only vtubers can do but I have no idea how to go about it. I daydream about this every single day.

Being able to speak with confidence, but whenever I lose my footing it's pretty obvious. Also not being able to be consistent with regards to stream regularity, which I think is super important to growth.

Before I really started, I told myself someone had to carry on their legacy, but now I'm not so sure. I wouldn't be able to, anyways, I'm not someone who can do what they do. I think, more than anything, it's because the image of them chasing their dreams, and reaching it despite all the hardships gave me the strength to believe that the same miracle might happen for me. And if it doesn't, I've still had enough fun to make me happy that I began in the first place. For all that I regret in my life, I don't regret this choice one bit.

Strongest trait I think is my zatsu ability. I like to talk to chat and can do it for hours. I was really surprised when I got complimented on my zatsus, because I consider myself to be pretty boring. But I guess if I have someone to bounce off of, I can go for a while.
Weakest trait is ego/sensitivity. I can get defensive and have my feelings hurt easily because I care too much about what others think/say about me. Because of that, I often go knucklehead mode in a desperate attempt to prove myself.

Honestly, fleshtubers. Vinesauce and Jerma primarily. I like the casual anything goes atmosphere where you feel like you're just hanging out with your buddies, just shooting the shit and cracking stupid jokes. I used to watch a lot of Achievement Hunter back in the day. Funhaus was cool too. I guess my strongest suit is my ability to sail at an even keel, so to speak. That is to say, I can maintain a generally positive outlook on most things that come my way and keep things moving along. Keeping party morale high and all that.
My weakest suit is either audience interaction or communication. I worry at times that I'm not keeping chat engaged, and I have some trouble with opening and maintaining lines of communication with others.

Probably that Ike Eveland fella from Niji EN initially, seeing how he carried himself as a male VTuber and generally seeing that there's a market out there for male chuubas. It started last year as a way to keep myself honest with playing and finishing games. That was, of course, until my family and I were left devastated in the wake of stuff that I won't get into. Seeking to do literally anything to channel what I was feeling at the time into something creative/productive, I bought some stuff to upgrade my set-up a bit and started no-cam streaming into the void/to a few pals. It wasn't until fairly recently that I added a model to the proceedings, and you can guess at the rest.

This has been an endeavor that has helped me learn a lot and been pretty fun in the process. I'm gonna keep going forward for as long as I can manage and see where it takes me next!

Unfortunately I am still not very proud of most of my streams. I am not being able to dedicate as much time and energy as I want to them. I think I am proud of my second FNAF stream the most tho, because of how I conquered my fears, improved in a game that is very hard for me and refused to give up despite being extremely anxious/scared. I even lost my voice from screaming, but I think it was worth it.

I wish I could do Karaoke and ASMR streams but I don't think my microphone is good enough to do proper ASMR, I also still don't know how to adjust the sound settings properly, and for the Karaoke I still need to practise a lot to know the lyrics+notes and feel confident in singing live in front of everyone. I also want to do more creative streams, I really crave creativity in my life, but my irl job and my health aren't allowing me to explore as much as I want. I also want to do handcams to show and play with my collection pieces but I have no idea how to properly set that up without doxxing myself by mistake with my clumsy ways.

I think my endurance is pretty impressive. I am proud of myself for how constantly I endure streaming and chatting for 4+ hours in a row without breaks. I think I am good at engaging with chat, but I am not sure if my zatsu/just chatting topics are interesting enough.

I am not very skilled in most games, so I am a bit embarrassed about not being good enough and making dumb mistakes. I also have trouble solving technical issues on my own. My voice can become rather annoying, especially if I get overly excited. And my language skills are severely lacking.

I love Fauna, Mumei, Bijou, Ina, Gura, Irys, Kiara, and Mousey. I am not sure if I have a specific inspiration, I think I just get new ideas from several content creators and from other hobbies I have.

My last one, actually. Not in a "I improve every stream so my last was always my best!" kinda cheesy way but because I was finally doing something I have extensive knowledge on and something I can do plenty of talking for as well. I also felt like the chat was having as much fun as I was so I still think about that stream every day since doing it.

Strongest, probably my ability to talk? My ability to spring a conversation out of anything and spurn humor in the strangest locations seems to be something I can do as easy as breathing, and that sounds really cocky but sometimes I really am just saying things and people start laughing, so I guess that's cool. Weakest is probably my production values or maybe my inability to get chat participating more? I say I can talk a lot but I need a bounce back BAD sometimes. I dunno if my chat's just all afk viewers at times or if I really don't grip them.

Already said one earlier, but also Ike Eveland, Vesper Noir, Doppio Dropscythe, Rosemi Lovelock, Nanashi Mumei, all of those definitely contributed. My number one inspiration and the chuuba that converted me is probably Pomu Rainpuff though. Her energy, passion, and willingness to put up with everything dealt to her and focus on making the viewers happy above all brought me out of a few dark places during IRL hardships. At a meet and greet she told me she thinks I could do it and she remembered that I could be funny sometimes in her chat too so that was the final push I guess.

I've enjoyed streamers of the flesh for a while. I was aware of vtubers when HoloJP clips were getting popular in 2020, watched the original HoloEN debuts, but never really got too into it. Eventually we started considering doing it ourselves (the pipeline is real), and my wife and I brainstormed the character and concept over the course of a long road trip. Hey /asp/ies! I have a bit of a problem I'm trying to solve. I want to start streaming soon, so I would like to more fully flesh out my chuuba's design. However, considering I'm taking a good deal of inspiration from a preexisting character, I'm having a little bit of trouble making it look like it's not completely derivative of them. I've added some things to make it my own, but no matter how I look at it, I can't seem to separate the two. I know this is very vague, but I'm not sure what else to do. Do I lean into it? I knew after watching that I wanted to do Lets Plays, but at the time, capture cards and other equipment weren't as available/affordable so I never looked further into doing it. It wasn't until within the last 2 years that I remember wanting to do that, and after watching some vtubers, I figured now is the time to give it a try. And so here I am, streaming to everyone even though I've been a shut-in my whole life (which is why zatsus are hard for me. I have no real stories to tell, but I enjoy showing me playing games)

I won't say their name, but they're an infinitely better streamer than I am, and watching them made me remember that I wanted to do this for a long time, and now I'm taking the steps to one day make someone want to do this themselves. The only thing I'm sad about this is that I don't have as much time to watch them live anymore, but I know that if they knew what I was doing, they'd be happier with me pursuing my dreams instead of watching them.

I wish we could have a glims of your design but truerly you don't need to worry much, you can be sure that the character you have taken has been taken from something else, and if you did your job right, us viewers wouldn't see a thing nor make the connection (or just a little bit).
You can always try colorswapping some elements, maybe change their shape and size and placement, add things that would strike as "ah this is (you)'s character", maybe even change the tone of the model (for example if it looks more like a classical medival costume maybe make it futuristic or base it off a certain fashion sub-genre or even go crazy and make it related to an art movement like Art-deco or Baroque).
But without the visuals we'll have no idea how to properly help you... Good luck tho!

Definitely my endurance and focus. Anything above 2 hours is usually quite exhausting for me. That really depends on the kind of ASMR you watch. Many ASMR videos are focused on promoting relaxation using the sounds of random objects or nature just like meditation videos. Many don't even involve a single word or script. Others are roleplays of going to a hairdresser or shopping. Clauvio! For a long time I didn't really understand vtubing and the fascination some people around me seemes to have with it, but once I started looking at indie vtubers it finally clicked for me because of the more personal nature and the fact that it was feasible to interact with them, which never really seemed the case for big vtubers. She's very kind and sweet and was the first person I found who clicked with me in terms of what she streams, since there's a large overlap with my interests but she also didn't feel like she was trying to market to me at all. She just seems like someone having fun and doing her best for her fans, not someone trying to make a ton of money off of it and that really resonated with me. If I hadn't found her, I doubt I'd have gotten into this, to be honest! I am a little worried at times that what I do might be a little too similar to her but I'm also just doing the kinds of things I'd like to do and trying my best for my awoomfies, so hopefully I'm not too similar in style...

You’re doing well on your chatting. You do a good job interacting with chat (though you sometimes go out of order which may confuse yourself or listeners) and you have interesting things to say without revealing too much about yourself so as to excessively break the illusion, which is good.
If you want something to consider to improve your streaming then consider something you have already mentioned on stream; revamping your drawing redeem. One redeem takes you 1 hour or more of your typical 4 hour stream. I know you don’t look at viewer numbers during stream but I can tell you that they do seem to drop during this time. From what I’ve seen your “speed art” isn’t that much worse than your normal art (no offense), so setting a 5-10 minute timer for it would probably be beneficial as the art can really kill the flow of the stream otherwise. It even hurts your zatsu since half the time when you are drawing you are just apologizing for how bad it is and how long it takes you instead of being more otherwise engaging.

I really did feel great the whole time! My voice only really suffered after doing voices in the first part for Andy and Leyley for a couple hours, after I stopped that and got some tea and stuff, I felt much better! It was such a fun and honestly, empowering experience, it made me feel really good at the end, I was super proud of myself for the first time since I've started doing this, hehehe.
