Back then, Cover contracted Chinese fan groups, allowing them to create translation videos and content using the name of Hololive. One of the groups released the statement saying Cover agreed with One China.
Do you know what this means? Any apology by Coco would have to include support for One China, but Cover couldn't allow that or else their HoloEN plans would sink before it began. So we are at Plan C: Just suspend Coco and hope it will appease both sides, but you know it didn't work. Cover had to choose one side: don't let Coco apologize and just leave China.
