What do you mean sounds too complicated? You use VSeeface, capture that data which the app supports, then transmit that into Unity or whatever other program. There's multiple guides on it and it's one of VSeeface's more interesting features. From there, she's most likely just got her model rendered in a scene and uses facial mocap because in order to do this, her model needs to be rigged liked this, which I don't believe Vseeface or any of the more commonly used apps support unless that's changed.

It's not about tracking but about rigging. There's just more bones in her mouth to accurately replicate the tracked movement. Mosy riggers just pit a couple bones to open/close mouth, but this one went all-out. It's pretty good. Look him up, he's your answer.

As someone who recently upgraded to iPhone tracking, allow me to push up my glasses and explain.

If your VROID VRM export is recent enough, you can use the HANA tool in unity to automatically apply all the necessary blendshapes to your model. HANA costs 10 bucks, but you might be able to find someone to run the script for you. It's literally four button pushes if everything works right. After that you just connect to an iPhone with FaceID running Waikato and you're all set.

Hand tracking is more complicated. You'll need a leap motion, preferably mounted to something around your neck. And even then hand tracking can be super buggy at times.

The reason it works for iPhones is because it's a major feature built into their cameras from the 10 model onwards. Webcams don't have it and likely never will because of how Apple guards its secrets. There's nothing stopping you from bringing in VMC data from other sources, but right now the only major source of that is an iPhone tracker.

Apple phones use a depth cam, which makes more accurate tracking easier. Even if normal webcams came with an additional depth cam, you'd need new data to train depth based face tracking models on them, which needs tens of thousands of images captured with those cameras with a 3D model fit onto them and unless the depth cams all use one standardized format, the result would work for that one camera.

She enjoys doing it, She just has issues with her explosion in popularity. She's not using a special voice when she streams either. She's actively expressed her opinion that she's a streamer that happens to be using a virtual avatar to stream. Obviously she plays around a bit making jokes which is where the "fake emotion" comes from but for the most part she's not putting on an act.

Didn't read through the thread, idk if it was answered already but that's most likely Luppet and the iPhone face tracking app it got support for recently. I imagine the mouth on the model itself is moving through simple blendshapes set accordingly.
