I finally figured out why hmk is the way they are.
Kawaii is not a GFE company and never was. They are idols, music focused idols. They have been pushing concerts and songs a lot recently. However, the most popular girls in all gens by a huge margin are GFE/ASMR streamers. From the perspective of most of the fanbase, hmk is a nonsensical misfire but from management’s perspective, the picks are logical. There were 3 ASMR girls in gen 3 because that’s what people wanted but that’s not what most of the girls or staff want. Remember that hmk was "hand picked" by the girls. As long as this conflict exists Kawaii will never be at peace.
