To my understanding there are only 4 ways to grow on Twitch (or streaming really)

The leech method - have someone bigger than you boost you to getting thousands of viewers (ex. Literally everyone from Vshojo, and their orbiters)

The content creator method - be successful at literally any other platform other than streaming and use that to boost your stream (ex. Punkalopi, Rin Penrose, Lucy Pyre)

The Forsen method - stream only one game until you become so autistically good at it that people start watching you (ex. Forsen... and uhh maybe Azki from Hololive)

The Jerma method - do something interesting that's never been seen before that it can't help but go viral (ex. Jerma, Neurosama, that one JP girl who chroma keyed Splatoon paint into AV porn and tried to cover it or she'd get banned.)

I don't think there's any other real strategy to growth besides these.

I got a Fifine AM8. Others have less Chinese recommendations, but I like the sound quality for the price. As long as your drivers are up to date, Fifine is Fifine. I would again recommend going to YouTube and looking at reviews.
Audio filters can be set up pretty simply in OBS. They just prevent certain noises from being heard or certain volumes from being transmitted/recorded. Plenty of resources on YouTube.
Veadotube is free and somewhat low resource. Might struggle a bit on a potato if you are playing games that also run in unity. No idea why.
My pc is a potato. You can literally do it. Find low resource indie games, do reading/asmr content, or just zatsu. No worries.
