I can't decide how to feel about it. Generally speaking, guys do better streaming on facecam than with an avatar, but I feel like he holds himself back when his face is shown. I legitimately think that unless he works on his own self confidence, he needs to wear the mask in order to be a good solo streamer.

His teaching content is fine, but better watched as an edited video posted on YouTube. His irl streams with a group of other people is also fine as he lets himself relax more and have fun

I'm a hardcore Magmite. Some things are different and some things are the same, but I'm still utterly stuck on him and watch him regardless. IDK if you heard other Magmites' complaints around graduation time; if not, here are some of them:
>TL;DR: idol culture stuff, different content, yumefujo-friendliness, feelings of jealousy/betrayal

- Some people are really strict with their PL/RM virginity/immersion, and as far as they're concerned, that character is dead and that's the end of that. Some places overhyped the PL/RM bogeyman to the point there were people unironically afraid to even look at it, as if doing so is stalking and a crime in itself. I even hesitated following his RM at first because people bitched so much about it ruining the algorithm for everyone else (I eventually decided that's not my responsibility)

- His indie content is different. In Holo, he collabed with different people (handpicked talents of his caliber with great synergy rather than whoever he already happened to be friends with and roped in), he did different content (stuff he wouldn't normally do as an indie like creativity with assets and character lore and voice roleplay), and he had restrictions that forced creativity (e.g. couldn't bluntly drop low hanging coomer fruit so he had to be more coy and clever with innuendos). He also had coherence and branding provided by the company: compare the JRPG characters with shared lore and the strong fan identity with oshi marks and fan reps (he came up with a great concept but it was based on the character design he was given) vs. his teacher thing where his fans are just students, his character design is a sweater vest, and his lore is liking femboy bussy.

- He lost his yumefujo-friendly anime character idol fantasy appeal. Let's face it: a good chunk of the fanbase were yumefujo weebs who liked fantasizing about anime boys fucking them and/or each other. The already flimsy wall between fiction and reality dropped when he lost the anime character mask. Magni was safe to be paired, written, and drawn however fans wanted. Yumes were safe from ever being told their anime bf is taken. But Lando has a gf and doesn't hide it outside Holo. There were yumes who started watching Lando during the hiatus and got upset when he revealed he had a gf (and a hickey...) onstream a week before the graduation announcement. I only started catching Lando occasionally a few months before the hiatus, so I'm not sure if his gf came up before then, but if it did, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the real reason driving the early Magschizos long before the hiatus/graduation.

- People angry with him, whether out of jealousy (people were even getting jealous of him hanging out with Bettel a lot), content (burnout, shorter streams, complaining about being tired, and doing RM content on the side rather than focusing on Magni/big productions/giving viewers attention) or graduation backlash (anger over Magni leaving the fans/the group, bonus anger depending on what they think happened behind the scenes)

I don't want to go too deep into speculation territory since we've been through a million and a half of those already, but at the core of it, everything was normal and they were looking forward to future projects (and their big anniversary!) until one day they silently vanished (no-waiting-room-no-showing their scheduled streams without a word) followed by a corpo "suspension of activities" announcement just like what happened when Vesper was suspended. Then there was a month of vague "don't ask about it, support the other talents" corpospeak, changes of plans due to "unforeseen circumstances," other boys mysteriously crying, and Lando sadposting on Twitter. Then in another month they had been written out of all unreleased projects including their own anniversary and everyone just had to sweep it under the rug and go on with the celebration. Something went down, don't know what, but I don't think anyone went into that wishing for that outcome because it was a losing situation for everyone. So despite it being "their choice," I don't believe for a moment the two of them just casually felt like leaving out of nowhere. Sounds more like a rock and a hard place situation to me.

I used to be a pretty hardcore magmite that did not follow Lando out of holo, I peek in these threads every now and then to see how they are doing, I wish for them to be happy and care for them even if their content just isn't for me anymore. The second point is why I personally do not tune into his streams. I would like to add to this that I really liked them as a group, as Tempus, I fell in love with the unity and how their characters could tie into each other with the anime kayfabe and adventures. HQ was my drug of choice for a year, the dynamics in that group made me so happy. I consumed them like you would normal anime characters pretty much, I imagined scenarios of them as a guild, I enjoyed the idea of Magni making fucked up potions for the boys and stuff. Reading this thread comes off as Lando having some regrets, I hope that isn't true and he finds a good balance for himself soon, he really is a great and talented person and I hope his time as Magni gave him some confidence in those talents

He's talked a lot about his career/personal stuff behind the scenes, but I was hesitant on spoonfeeding too much info for schizos to cause trouble with. Some of the infodumps took place in much less public Discord calls in the middle of the night, so I didn't feel right blowing them up and figured he'd share what he wanted to in the big streams for people who care enough to watch.

I'll say this much:
He's much less stressed post-graduation (to the point people could see the difference in his health just by looking at him. He mentioned an especially hellish period I interpreted as being toward the end of his stint with Holo). While part of him is really torn on leaving Vtubing and his fans that love it, he says it's just not in the cards right now and he feels he has to regroup careerwise. (His closest circle recently pulled back from pursuing their dream jobs and are swapping to plan Bs right now to play it safe.)

When I hear people say they think he "has regrets," I don't believe for a second that he just thought he was too good and peaced out only to come crawling back like the antis want to imagine. It really seems to me that something happened that forced the situation, and things just didn't work out. He does still get wistful at times over not being able to be that for the fans anymore :'( There's one story that comes to mind but I think that was another more private moment that probably isn't my place to share.
