Nice write-up. Fun little fact, it's actually easier to her stuff underwater, water transmits sound better than air. That's why whales can be heard from like 100 kilometers away, or submarines can use sonars to scan many kilometers are them. Though, while easier to hear, sounds tend to be more easily distorted.

Fun fact: Anya is actually the one who suggested that they let moonaronii and pavonashi fight it out without getting invested, sealing their victory.

The factions:

Game started out with Kronii looking the best, her early game looked the best with a semblance of a build order and economy, she started on an early Wonder and things were looking pretty good since everyone was kinda fumbling around.
Then Kiara built a castle close enough to Kronii to let it attack one of her buildings, and got convinced to lead an attack to shut down the Wonder-building. This worked out pretty well, since Kronii cut a hole in her forest wall leaving an undefended point of entry for Kiara.
Kiara destroyed Kronii's first base for the most part, and Time took refuge in Moona's base. After that, Kiara continued to kill Kronii stuff for a very long time while Reine got attacked by Fauna a bit. Analysts believe this tunnel-visioning on Kronii is what cost Kiara the victory, since during this whole time Fauna and Anya have just been playing Sim City, with Fauna building up a deathball of elephants and Anya doing stuffs, and not wasting resources in a meatgrinder like Kiara and Kronii.
By the time Kiara realized that Kronii was dead enough, the horde arrived and just kind of stomped everything.
It was a nice match, even the best players were awful. The ID kind of all jobbed while the ENs did pretty alright, I'm looking forwards to more RTS.

Were the IDs sandbagging? I remember people in the thread (and kiara) saying that the teams were set up with 1 ID + 1 EN because the IDs had more experience with the game, but it seems like the ENs were the ones doing most of the work.

That might have been the expectation before the game, but that's definitely not how it worked out kek. ENs seem to be a bit more competitive while the IDs were a bit more chill, all three mostly played it like a city management thing. Moona even noted after the game that she didn't expect things to get this intense.
I think the IDs had another RTS collab which is where that feel could have come from.
It's also worth noting that lots of juicy information was coming up in the chats of Fauna and Kiara, which may or may not have had some consequences kek.

Last year there was an ID Collab and all the IDs that were in this Collab were part of that one. Everyone predicted MoonaRonii would win because Moona soundly won last time. Most likely none of the IDs practiced since.

Some time before Advent was announced, some anon invented Lilianne as a second HoloEN vsinger who would have disappeared under creepy/violent circumstances, and then been promptly forgotten and footage of her digitally degraded through some supernatural effects. Pretty cool concept, and a bunch of disparate anons made OC about her, like wiki pages, two models, audio clips, transcripts from stream... given how unorganized it was there was a fair bit.
