Actually went to my arcade earlier, and as expected, I cannot get any of the event stuff for SDVX. It requires a Premium Generator and my arcade doesn't have one.
Played her songs a fair bit though.

We don't even have ANY kind of arcades anymore in my country, let alone one that would have these specific machines, the scene completely died out around the mid 90s. Yeah, I was lucky enough to have the arcade open in my previous city in early 2020, only to have the shutdowns because of covid prevent me from being able to do the Hololive x WACCA collab stuff. I was very sad since it was so close yet so far.
Still, this has me really considering getting that ASC and playing SDVX from home, but I'm sure I won't.

This was the first time I was ever exposed to these games, I've seen Toro before but never knew he had a game series, and apparently there are multiple of these games on the ps2 that can actually have the save file carry over with the words from the previous game that you taught him. That really cool! I hope she's able to continue the other games eventually as I really enjoyed this and there's very little information on this series that I can find for what seems like a mascot of the playstation.

I've been trying to find out ever since he left but unfortunately information is sparse, it's an old game that was never re-released, released in the West and you need to have Japanese knowledge to enjoy it. From what I gather it does seem like him leaving on day 10 is the end for this particular entry of the series. I've seen people mention that you can keep traveling alone but nobody said anything about him coming back. I guess it was kind of fitting because she wanted to stop playing in this episode anyway, but it does kind of feel bad that it ended on this kind of note. In any case, I really enjoyed the series and it would be nice to see her play another one of them eventually.

I saw a comment on her twitter post that says she apparently got a special ending that comes from having a good bond with Toro, honestly that just made it feel sadder. That's the most I can gather from this game's ending though so I guess he does leave no matter what like you said. I hope the next game has some remark about him knowing you because of the previous save file so this doesn't feel as sad, I wonder where she even found this game if it was never re-released as it sounds like it's quite rare.

Hmm after doing some research, I think the reason I couldn't do the fbk SDVX event stuff is because I registered my e-amuse account under the USA, and that cannot be changed. They also disabled de-linking cards from your account so I cannot just transfer it.
This means I might be able to go buy a new card, transfer the data, and roll for fbk stuff, which appears to be something you do online now. I think I'll do that tomorrow.

Nice. I plan to head over again later after I do my reps and have breakfast. I'm not nearly so good though, but at least there's a Normal Start now which allows 3 full song plays instead of Light Start that booted you off after a failure, so I can actually practice properly.
Was also able to finally get everything by making a new eamuse account set to JP and deleting my old konami account my card was linked to. Can't wait to set fbk as my navigator.

It might have to do with confidence, but you also have to remember that times were just very different back then. Even though she was at the height of her popularity, I don't think she had remotely as much recordings and miscellaneous work to do back then as she does now. For example, just yesterday she opted not to stream even though she wanted to because she had to save her throat for two recordings she had left this week and it even made her miss out on the ARK event she wanted to join today.

I guess doing a lot of singing streams in addition to all these recordings and all her regular streaming would be taxing to her voice and is sadly not as feasible as it used to be. She probably also doesn't have as much time to practice new songs either and she isn't the type to bring out the same repertoire of like ten different songs in every single song frame. I was pretty happy she did that spontaneous one when her PS2 died the other day, that was a lot of fun. I think that was only the second or third one we got this year, it would be neat if we could get one every months or every other month or something.

Hololive's really gotten busy this last year and it doesn't help that Fubuki is the defacto member for most sponsors as well as various projects hololive does. I honestly think that might even be the reason the original song/cover output that started at the beginning of the year kinda died out throughout the middle, the multiple lives not helping either. I wish she'd be given more of a chance to do streaming or work on her solo stuff as, if what an anon earlier said eas right, she got annoyed that she missed the ark event then it seems like they're putting too much on her plate to where it can impede her enjoyment of other things. It's one thing that she's a workaholic but if it's forcing her out of things she wants to do than I get why that can be annoying.

I tried it today. It works in the US.
Make sure the machine your playing on is actually connected to the internet and has the latest songs. There's a total of 4 Fubuki songs in all, a Mio song, and a couple of Senchou songs.
The reason I say this is because I was going to play Tetote Connect to fondle Nenecchi again, but nothing would connect and there was a message at the bottom saying no internet.

When I mentioned the event stuff, I did specifically mean the premium generator for the navigator and other things, not the songs themselves. Though didn't know it was paid gacha at the time since I thought the generators were tied to using the in-game PCB currency. I also didn't notice I got the navigator and spent more than I needed to. First and probably last time I'll ever do paid gacha though. At least there are no repeats on this.
You have to have an eamuse/konami account registered with the location set to Japan. My card was originally on an account set to the US, and because of de-linking being removed, I had to delete my konami account as a whole before I could re-register my eamuse card to the new account I made set to Japan.
Then you can buy paseli and roll from the premium generator page by selecting the Fubuki collab option. https://p.eagate.573.jp/gate/p/eamusement/coop/list.html?shop=1&category=46&cc=0&ls=1
If you are logged into an account that is not set as being in Japan, you will get a 404 on that link.
Unfortunately because of the paseli bullshit, you have to find a way to pay for it, which requires either a Japanese credit card or buying some "webpay" or "bitcash" cards, which can be grabbed with instant code retrieval from Play-Asia. Don't get me wrong I agree, it's just that she seemed to want to participate in an event yet couldn't due to having so much work and the fact that she just got done with 3 big lives and her birthday I would think she'd have gotten less work to focus on. I doubt this is anything to hold a grudge over and she's probably already gotten over it but it sucks to see her down about something she wanted to participate in and had she less work than she might've been able to. In no way am I insinuating she's overworked either, if anyone were going to be fine with being overworked it would be Fubuki, but if she had more leeway with her schedule maybe we'd get more of the kind of streaming schedule she had back in 2020/2021, but unfortunately I don't think that's possible and that sucks a bit. I just hope she's happy and excited about the work she does.

While Cover is trying to work her to death, I want to just say that LETTER彡 is the sweetest, most heart-warming thing to ever come out of this stupid, contrived hobby about watching weird animated PNGs wobble on a screen.
I love Fubuki in a genuinely platonic way, I respect her immensely. I don't think any other vtuber could convey the oshi-fan dynamic like LETTER彡 does.

One of my favorite things about the song is how general it is. Obviously the mv is about her, but if you read the lyrics it's very broad in what it's describing, like it's not just a song catered towards her and her fans but people in general who have an oshi can relate to it, I find that very sweet. It really shows how much she understands the dynamic of a fan and their oshi considering she's just as big of an otaku and has probably done the exact same thing before.

I love that about it as well, she took great care to ensure that it's not too focused on her but on the concept of Oshikatsu in general. That makes it relatable for basically every Otaku in some way or the other. I also like that at the very end of the song, she's basically left an empty line where she just goes lalala and the listener is supposed to sing the name of his Oshi instead. I know she didn't write the lyrics herself, but I'm sure she had a lot of input on the concept of the song and the direction she wanted the lyrics to go because you can just feel her passion in the message of the song. She's been doing this long enough, and knows both sides really well. It's really, really good.
