I still haven't decided if Shuba will hail from that land, or if I want her somewhere else, but Ayame is definitely going to be kinda an unofficial adoption kinda thing. Ayame will have or had oni parents, but for the reasons I'll flesh out later, she is primarily in Mio's care and thinks of her as a mother. If I decided to do the same with Subaru, it would likely be a different situation, since a human in those lands will be a little more rare / not a great situation for her.

I saw my third vtuber dream.

I realized why writing is being such a task for me lately: I'm burnt out. For the first time in my life I'm burnt out from writing. I realized I've basically been going harder than harder at Balsa since fucking june, publishing a new chapter every two-three days with a week being the longest I went between posts.

Depends on how confident you are at writing the sad ending. I've seen a few attempts at sad stories that fell completely flat in a vain, contrived attempt at being sad, so it's a bit difficult to make a real gut-puncher. The happy ending is a safe bet that would be hard to go wrong with, but if you nail the sad ending it could really hit the reader in the feels.

In that case you kind of need to pick an aspect of Suisei and pick a chuuba with intersecting aspects.
Sara works since it's basically a direct challenge at her sex appeal while also being a "predator".
