It's a separate channel where you can find the music of a band or music artist. It can be handy to find "pure" versions of songs, instead of the music video with added bits or bad quality fan uploads with incorrect lyrics.
I often visit Ayame's topic channel because she didn't upload her latest original song to her own channel, so this (youtube.com/watch?v=cPzSJiGR6aA) is the most "official" upload of it.
