Do you cosplay vtubers? Do you have funny stories about vtuber cosplayers?

Not me. I may lose a 15-year friendship to this shit. My friend is pissed because his sister has been taking pics in her Gura cosplay, and some of them have been a little spicy. He thinks it's "p*do sh*t" to lewd Gura, and got really freaked out when she told him she's entering her first 18+ cosplay burlesque at a con. Now I'm worried he's going to find out that I bought her the Gura cosplay last month after she told me she wanted to do a Gura striptease. I even built her trident and shark pasties. Now she's getting cold feet about performing. So I'm $150 in the hole and my friendship with her bro is a ticking time bomb when he finds out that I encouraged her to do all of this. She suggested I snap some boudoir pics of her at the con hotel instead, but we're rooming with her brother and maybe this is all too much effort just to possibly see one friend's sister naked.

During another con, I saw a male Nyanners at Wamlart.

I went to my first anime convention this summer in my city. I dressed up as Bae and I felt super cute and confident! Once I got there tho I felt like such an amateur. One guy asked to take my picture, and it caught me off guard, so instead of doing a cute pose, I stood there awkwardly. He said “ya-BAE” and I’m so awkward and my mind went blank so I just said “thank you!” and walked away. Didn’t take any cute pictures of myself and I was disappointed in how little vtuber cosplayers there were in general. I want to go to another one and do even better!

This has been my experience at cons so far. I'm pretty detached from anime these days so I mostly go to party and visit friends, but I only recognize a dozen or so Vtuber cosplays and maybe 2-3 booths with vtuber art or merch. I'm pretty sure fucking Overwatch is still more popular to cosplay than vtubers. Kind of surprising to me, I thought vtubers were bigger than that.

I went to a con and stood by a cardboard cutout of Mori to take some pics of it, because she was my oshi. Saw someone in Mori cosplay walk past and take a pic. Then I saw someone who I swear was dressed exactly like her roommate do the same. It was pretty funny, FemDoxxbeats are fucking real.

Some other moments were:

There used to be a pretty normalfag con where I lived but it got moved to the capital, and I assume it became even more normalfag. Tons of league of legends, game of thrones, shart wars and other cosplays, barely any weeb stuff at all.
