Because it takes a lot of screen. She also has a terrible habit of dropping "trash" on the other side until it's right in the middle which is the real game ender. When you get to honeydew, what you need to do it get a peach and then a pineapple ASAP while dropping as little as possible on the other side. That's because peach and especially pineapple + watermelon push each other against the border of the screen so nothing slips by and starts rolling under the honeydew. Then you build peach on top of pineapple. If you managed to lock the melon and pineapple against each other, it's just about minimizing trash and not fucking it up by accidentally letting a small fruit get locked between big ones, preventing merge. Then you try to repeat the same with watermelon except it's much bigger so the playable area is much smaller and it's a lot harder.

I tuned into Koyo's Suika stream and I have to say: she also makes same mistakes as Mori, she doesn't reach Watermelon in nearly every run, she still does the kneejerk reaction counterdrops that never get anything done and even restarts the game when she makes too many mistakes in the first minute.
