Ok but this still doesn't really help with the communication problem, like its one thing to make a passing statement like this on stream but its completely different to actually send out a clear message telling your fans what's going on. Obviously Gura has her own life and whatever, but being in the position she's in her life cannot be entirely private like most people. So many other Holo members have openly said that they needed to take a break because a family member died or they were having some serious illness, Gura should not be an exception. If she really doesn't want to specify what's going on, she can still at the very least make an actual official statement as to why she doesn't stream or communicate.

Following that same logic, I also am not obligated to be satisfied with this vague statement and support her unconditionally. This situation has dragged on far longer than most of their other known and discussed extended hiatuses by other Holomembers and in most of those cases they made it crystal clear what the circumstances were. Personally the period of giving Gura the benefit of doubt has long passed and there should be some form of repercussions for the lack of openness at this point.

That somebody else exist who is a completely different person than Gura, with their own life circumstances--that you don't know of--doing communication different doesn't negate Gura's right to do her own life her way.

Yeah this is basically my thoughts on the matter, Gura has had long enough to be given the benefit of the doubt in terms of what's going on without her saying anything. Practically every other Holo member has made is at least somewhat clear in terms of what is going on when they run into issues that prevent them from streaming, Gura has said nothing. So there is little room for people to defend her when she herself hardly gives any room to defend.

Weird how the shit in her personal life that was preventing her from streaming stopped affecting her for a few weeks so she could overlap Advent's debut month streams.

Given how often she seems to be traveling to and from Japan, at this point she should just move there. Then again maybe she loves the burger life too much for that.

Honestly? It's actually jarring how similar her behavior mirrors that of an addict's. If anyone has dealt with a loved one that is an addict before then you'll know what I mean. She promises to be more active, do this stream or that stream, etc. and it never happens. It is very in line for an addict to attempt to live their life normally and make promises upon promises that they can't realistically keep. Realistically, if it had to do with a health problem (that isn't self afflicted like substance abuse) she wouldn't feel any shame and would just admit it to her audience that she is sick. The same goes for family issues. If she has family issues there is no reason for her to have to hide that, it's as simple as saying "I am having ongoing family issues." Alcoholics and drug addicts are obviously deeply ashamed of their problem and don't want others to know about it. Of course they can't keep it up forever. It's still pure speculation but that has been my own personal rrat about what's going on with Gura.

Every time Gura streams she is running on red bull with almost sleep , takes time to break that cycle and the consequence of that lifestyle

In addition, her mental state on stream fluctuates pretty wildly and while plenty of streamers are dumb with streamer brain, or pretend to be dumb for content, she regularly seemed to be incapable of holding information in her active memory for very long and would have trouble with recollection of names of things, events, and verbs. I don't know if it's just extended alcohol abuse or if she got into stimulants, but it's very likely a reason why she spent most of her time abroad in her room, trying to hide it.

My next biggest piece of evidence, is that you'd have to be extremely addicted to some substance to choose that instead of getting closer to having any form of relationship with Murasaki Shion, a notoriously sought after and elusive woman. It doesn't matter if you're a straight woman, Gura literally had the in, and somehow only managed a single starbucks event with Shion.

I posted this before. We all know she's an alcoholic that relapsed. She almost got clean too. Remember that clip from an early 2021 MC stream of her talking about abandoning her old habits and growing as a person? She was streaming regularly and everything was great. Then something happened and now she's back on the bottle. Same shit as before Hololive. Same behavior of abologizing for 'no new videos' and then making a bunch of promises that never amount to anything. Yeah, you know that clip. So you know that this is a pattern of behavior that's been around for over a decade.

What I want to know is why her genmates and management aren't taking her to AA to get cleaned up?
