It's really nice that he's doing more member's streams. He already (probably I'm not keeping count) has the most member's streams out of the boys and he plans to do much more. It also lets him be more intimate because kindred don't want to leak what happens in them, I still haven't seen any really blatant movie release leaks like some of the teases he's shown.

Yeah, I know that for as much as I may sound salty, it isn't really the fans' fault. Thing is, Niji's western audience is just that/ Western, not American. The fact that we're even talking about a CN fan demographic yet never do the same for a 'US' one should hint where more support lies. The western fanbase is probably much bigger but it's also distributed.

Cafe collabs might not really be a thing in the US, but I've seen boba places advertising collabs that aren't that far off of vtubers, as well as things like pop-up events. They could potentially do more things with the Animate stores, since they already stock merch there as well.
In regards to conventions, however, I will reiterate the fact that having a bunch of attendees asking for them is a lot more effective than trying to get Anycolor to reach out to certain cons. Most guests are ones the convention specifically reaches out to, and a lot of those are based on who people are asking them for. I can count on one hand the number of times someone who reached out to cons I worked at to be guests actually got invited. If it wasn't an agent we were already working with suggesting another talent or us needing to fill a last minute cancellation, most didn't get a second look.

I think this is the biggest factor. The "Western" fan can be someone from NA, EU, AUNZ or even LATAM and Africa if they can speak english.

There's really no way that you can properly pander to such a wildly heterogenious audience without making someone feel "left-out"

There's also the fact that Asian fans tend to/are more used to spend more on "junk" like clear files and acrylic stands. And we all know Niji management is too greedy to make some high effort merch that satisfies non-asian markets.

Merch has gotten better variety wise. I think the bigger issue is shipping, especially to the places that only get EMS. When it costs a minimum of $40 to ship, it is hard for people to justify it. The fact that it is cheaper for a lot of people to buy it from the Japanese store with a proxy is just sad. I'm also baffled by the fact that they opened the US warehouse and then never added anything beyond the first step goods.

It's simply so the company can sell more merch to the CN fans, with only a marginal % of the profits going to the actual talent themselves. Noctyx knows the b2 streams are pointless since the cn fans can just catch the regular streams if they want to but they've been pushed towards that place since debut now.
