More rocket autism on the cards today.

Late thread but you know /ria/ threads are better than constant pink cat and the other shitters.

Cute, but also the real deal. She has an autismal level of fascination for and level of knowledge about rocketry such that she isn't just some poser chuuba searching for a niche in an already crowded market.
She IS her niche.

>She dresses herself up to resemble the rocket.
To clarify your point, she dresses herself up to suit the rocket of each respective launch.
That's some dedication.

I found her channel by accident because I’m also a rocket autist and you’re right it’s clear she’s fascinated by it I love that it’s so genuine

She also does not discriminate and will watch any rocket launch regardless of the country of origin. She's not just riding Elon's cock with all those SpaceX launches.

She said it was a sounding rocket. I mean I guess that's a space program technically. When people say space today they usually mean things that stay in space for longer than 30 minutes though. Although I do wonder what possible research could be done on space itself.

Damn I was hoping this one made it to orbit. On a separate, more funny note. Usui just confirmed her favorite rocket is the V2. She just gets cuter by the second.

You'd be surprised how many odd things get launched up to see how they'd react to going into upper atmosphere and space.

While not space related exactly but during the Teapot nuclear tests in 1955,the US government staged cans and bottles of beer and soda at different ranges from a nuclear test to see what would happen to them if they survived the blast.
It was officially listed as "The Effect of Nuclear Explosions on Commercially Packaged Beverages" It's been declassified and shows their methodology and testing procedures.
Still safely drinkable but flavor changed

Yea the Desert Rock exercises only three sets actually had them going in the area for testing. The rest they were just kinda observers or working out of bases for the tests
Pic related probably the most famous pic from the Desert Rock exercises (Buster-Jangle's DOG test)

Also this launch if successful will be the second successful launch for Interstellar Technologies

They wanted to know how long it'd be before it would be safe to drink if the liquids were radioactive. Also to know what the changes were and what would get radioactive due to short lived isotopes being made in there.

5 Minutes until launch!

To the person asking an explanation for helium:
It's used as "ballast", basically the helium is heated and injected into the tanks to allow the fuel to be pushed down towards the engines. As you go higher the pull of Earth's gravity isn't doing enough "pulling", so you need to start "pushing" on the fuel instead.

>>6015451
Which is amazing, because it's very easy to view the launch market as SpaceX because of their aggressive launch cadence.
