One of the reasons I want an active thread. I'll admit I only started posting here last march, but it always felt lonely when streams end, sometimes even during streams. Especially when all the other fanbases have a good sizable community. I posted in global for a while but over time it turned into a fauna anti thread, it always goes to shit when there's any bit of discussion of her. I tried the # thread and its full of dramafags, doxposts, retards obsessesed with cgcdt, unicorns, numbers. I hate how they use Fauna as their ambassador to shit on others.
It sucks that saplings are scattered all over the catalog. We were small a year and half ago, but fauna became more popular over time and the number of saplings here grew. What are you all afraid of? Every other general can deal with shitposters and schizos.

Anon, you aren't getting it. Making /uuu/ permanent will make it less about Fauna. I've seen this happen countless times on this site when a permanent general forms for something. The focus drifts away from the original topic it's supposed to be about and turns into a loose chatroom with little relation to the subject in the OP. Thread personalities form. Activities created to fill dead hours take over focus of the thread. Drama increases. Shitposting is more common as it's a constant target.

/uuu/ can't sustain itself when Fauna's not streaming, anyways. It always dies after people get bored of necrobumping. It's a common understanding between all posters that /uuu/ goes up when Fauna streams. That's how it's always been. It's worked fine, and in my opinion is part of the reason why /uuu/ is generally pretty high quality (the other part being Fauna's personality and the type of person she attracts as fans). Yeah, it sucks sometimes when I want to post something about her and there's no thread, but I just wait until she streams next. It makes the threads better because it's something to look forward to and ensures there's always something Fauna related to talk about in them.

All of this is known by multiple posters here, which is why there's always pushback when the permanent suggestion is brought up. None of us want to see /uuu/ ruined like that. I hope you can understand that.
