indies like juniper or mana made all of their stuff with their own bare hands, and their streaming decor and effects are much better than hololives. They receive golden mountains from simps each second, what the fuck?????

A big part is indies can use all available software instead of being forced to use proprietary software. Vtube Studio is the best in the business but hololive and Nijisanji decide they have to use their proprietary shite.

Mana has real time voice to text russian to english translation. Imagine JP vtubers having such tech - it will blow up their views by large margin, since gaijins will be able to approximately understand what are they saying. Not to mention it will make translators job much easier.
(And yeah, I know that most of /vt/ dunno who Mana is, but this is good example)

This. Also this companies are that, actual companies, with all the legal terms, they pay people and do merchandising, create products to sell, legally, paying taxes, and make agreements with companies to promote products, legally. Acquiring software requires patents, especially if you are going to make a profit from it

Indies have more freedom with the software they can use, while companies usually have to stick to using certain software for one reason or another, whether it's a contract or it's their own software they want to show off. As for rigging, indies can go to whoever they want and spend how much they want while companies more often than not will have a budget assigned to that sort of stuff and a list of riggers they have already worked with that they know will have prices they can agree on.

How much money they get from fans has nothing to do with any of this because if they are big enough then their brand will do the work for them in getting an audience to come. Besides, most people tend to like the personality/mannerisms/voices of the girls and I know some anons listen to streams as opposed to watching them, so they can get away with having a janky rig.

They don't "have better rigging/effects/tech" than corporate, they either made their own, got lucky to commission high end deigners (e.g iron vortex) for 3-5k or already had a setup that JUST HAPPENED TO work with vtubing. The absolute ONLY thing they aren't held by is commercial licensing which limits certain software and hardware use.
>>5985955
>Imagine JP vtubers having such tech
They do, it doesn't work well because Japanese is complicated for translations.

This also goes with the hardware department, an indie can just hook up an old Kinect to get basic arm movement, meanwhile holos are stuck exclusively with HTC hardware, since they are investors in the company

Looks like they're investing more on some VR Headset project rathet than improving their stream tech based on Yagoo's YT channel

Being corpo comes with a boatload of advantages over being indie to be fair. Coco got the best of both worlds in a way.

Shizuka Ring had voice JP to eigo text translation in her Tarkov stream yesterday, maybe in others too, I don't watch her much.
It did not seem very good at all. JP to eigo hard.

They revealed that Coco was making significantly more money than the CEO. She walked away with enough money to live on for the rest of her life.

Mana knows how to do 3D stuff herself so there is that. But the thing is corporates are drowning in money with shitty models anyway so why would they improve it? It's like asking for factory-produced goods to have the quality of handmade stuff.

Fool. That’s how you lose fingers. I live in Maryland right next to a river, and we get those slimy lummoxes migrate glacially over our unfortunately (for them) long lawn in the spring. I’ve had to pick them up with shovels/put them in the scoop of the tractor and transport them to the river so that they don’t kill our dog. They will bite fucking anything and hiss like a cat. Powerful, terrifying jaws from the primevalesque muck of the bottom of the American river. Who knows upon which deep matters his mind moves, behind those eyes, those soulless yet sinister eyes of such a Cimmerian strangeness? His world is one brumous and vague, of mud and the anaerobic choke of the silty, field-polluted streams; but, in his hibernation, lodged in the umber banks that once felt Piscataway feet,—pray tell—does he dream? Do spirits assail him by night, that Stygian ever-night, and do swevens toss his torpid soul on buffeting waves, like Aeneas? Or does he dream instead of an escape from his hell, to seek the sun and warm air? No, for lo, this hero has no Italy; his binding carapace imprisons him, and his wretched soul is stranded, leaden, sunk to the bottom of a deep and black well. Its sides trail around and around, the walls are sheer, and you float ever up and up until you are staring down and in, into the eye: The black hole, the caliginous, unholy shaft; the eye of the snapping turtle. Why would you try and feed it? Dumbass.
