The karaoke machine scoring is the best compromise in that regard, it provides some form of performance grading and most important of all, its impartial, its a meme scoring system so everyone knows its bullshit and their vsinger oshi isn't being graded down because [insert reason here]. The viewers can make their own decision on who are the better singers themselves.
