Vshojo has always had more of a Western-style entertainment focus and a bigger connection to the indie scene, which itself has never had problems with mixed collabs. It''s the same reason why you don't see a lot of Tempus-centric unicorns. In general though, Cover is way too big of a company, it's built up like 3 or 4 different subcultures that all want different things and can't get along as a result.

Have you only played FGO or something? Most gacha games have a much more unified artstyle and fewer involved artists. (Genshin, Blue Archive, Girls Frontline, etc.) FGO is special in that it's heavily involved in the doujin community and allows artists a great deal of freedom with the characters they're assigned.
