Simple, nice style, good color combos. I like Coco and Polka well enough but their designs are a total clusterfuck, and a lot of the holos in general have really complicated designs. I get the idea, you're only going to be seeing their head and upper torso 90% of the time so you want to make them visually interesting, but it's a lot. They do. But if it's anything like how they have mandatory French in Canada then that basically means "You don't know French even though you 'learned it.'" If you do not actually use the second language at all then you will not retain the knowledge you learned. For that reason, one could arguably say a lot of Japan *could* be proficient English speakers and writers, but only if they continue to use their English, and that is kind of a challenge in Japan unless you go out of your way to spend time in English communities online.

As an ESL, it's surprising what a mess English can be. It's like the language just dropped certain features but arbitrarily left others in. For example word order is extremely restrictive because it both dropped cases but also didn't go further with pre/postpositions. You need an auxiliary verb to form a negative verb even though a couple centuries ago you just stuck "not" after the verb like in German. You use an auxiliary verb for both the past and future form of verbs, but only the first one uses the participle. There's postpositions that can change the meaning of a verb, which is not that weird, but then you also have to put the object between the two (e.g. "got up the table" vs. "got the table up") which can totally change the meaning.
