I like it too as it gives more insight into what v-tubers actually look at. And we know keeping track of subs and other stuff aren't exclusive to Kiara with other idols voicing their concerns or trying 12 hours or sub marathons to move the numbers. I think it’s certainly debatable (in her favor) that she needs more subscribers for the work she does compared to the rest of myth, but the fact that she openly admits she thinks she “deserves” the subs is just sad.

I didn't used to like her that much (still don't) but my dislike went down drastically when I realized my expectations of her to have native EN cultural sensibilities while she's actually Austrian ESL was unfair and the things I got annoyed with were just from my own misplaced expectations. That being said, having wider appeal is just a numbers game. If someone wants bigger numbers then they'll have to gain wider appeal by basically pretending to be someone they're not, and if her thing is to be upfront and be her real self then by default the appeal will be limited and so will the numbers. Vtuber audience is majority lonely men and unfortunately she doesn't know what appeals to lonely men. I like her grind though.

The last one is just there because it's funny, since IRyStocrats' support for their oshi's music is very mediocre and also IRyS' body/throat barely makes it past the 6 months point every year ever since joining Hololive.
The point is, the concept of "deserving" things like that isn't real, Kiara doesn't just deserve a Sololive handed to her on a silver platter, everytime a member gets a Sololive, part of it is out of their own pocket, but the majority is from them and management working together to find a sponsor for the event, it's a long and tedious process to get there, you don't just get one because you "deserve" it without putting in the work to make it possible.
On the other hand, you have Mori who definitely deserves her success with UMG, and her music's popularity with the Nips, because she and her manager did the work to get there. Obviously, it costed her more than just the amount of work, money, and time, she had to put in, wigger was basically on the verge of scorch earth it all in 2021-2022, good thing the tardwrangling saved her eventually.
