Hmm. Seeing that chatting stream made me really ponder something. Even if anime is more mainstream now, I always felt, like comics, it was going to become more of a normal thing to "normal" people. I was that shameless guy about anime, but I always felt people just wanted to feel like they belonged, it was never really about anime being "cringe" it was just belonging.

So now I just feel we are in a time where people are just starting to get over the need to hide one's powerlevel. They just stop caring, which is why you can have married couples, executives, salarymen and office ladies just enjoying other geeky vtubers. Its throwing out a lot of stereotypes, and its just hard for people to adjust to the fact being geeky was never really a problem. The funny thing, is where I saw a rash of videos about people who were mad they felt ostracized for not liking anime these days. Even as they talked about the anime they liked.
