I wanna play it because of Kaichou, is there any Hololive mod or something to enhance the experience?

Ark is the game i hate to love and love to hate. I spent like 1.5k hours on it across all DLC's and it's an amazing game content wise, but the community is the most toxic and vile backstabbing exploiting bastards. Also if you fuck up you can lose 300 hours of progress in like 20 seconds.

Example A: You spent 8 hours taming a max level dinosaur, this required you to grind narcotics for 2 hours, the rare meat collection prob an hour, searching for a good saddle to ride it could take weeks, and then, once tamed, you gotta level it to the max (after taming you can level you dino 60 times before it hits max, which is why going for higher levels is crucial), this process can take about 2 weeks of hard grinding for XP. Then, suddenly, an alpha dinosaur spawns (an incredibly strong variant), your dino cannot outrun them because they are much faster too, your choices are:
ditch your dino and run for your life
Try to fight it and hope it's a low level
Accept death
In all 3 cases, completely by something out of your control (a rare spawn appearing out of nowhere) you can lose all those weeks of progress in under a minute.

Example B (much worse): grinding to make a base, taming many dinos, exploring for rare items, then you log off, and wake up to all your stuff completely wiped off the map because someone beat up a boss and once you beat up a boss you can use it in battle for 24 hours. It's literally impossible to defend against one if you're offline, so hundreds of hours of many people can be instantly erased just like that.

The game is fun in situations like the chuubas played, just a bunch of friends having fun together, no drama, working towards killing the final bosses, otherwise, Ark is gonna tear you down. Trust me... You don't want to get into Ark if you're gonna play on official servers.

Yeah I imagine that's why Kaichou made their server PvE instead.
I'd learned about Ark not long after it came out, but was also aware it was a horribly unoptimized mess, and never bothered to even try it.
I feel like a PvE server with 10x rates like the other anon said could be fine. Unless you have grinding autism like Aki seems to.
Do we know if Kaichou set boosted rates for the holo server?

What about playing offline?

The only reason holomen had fun with ARK is because they were playing with each other.

She did. The game is actually cancer without boosted rates, i always played a one man tribe so I'd know. These girls would not have lasted as long if it wasn't boosted, only some of the more addicted ones. Looking at the streams i think they have it at at least 5x. You have to grind for like 2 weeks grinding 6k iron ingots to get a industrial forge to... melt iron faster. The endgame is insanely grindy.

Also it's a major time commitment. Take raising dinos. I'll use the giganotosaurus as the example, but all of them are quite hard. You get a fertilized egg from having two tamed Giganotosaurus breed (they are basically the strongest dinosaur, also kinda rare, especially at a level you want to tame) the eggs take a full week to hatch, not ingame time, a literal week. After that, once it hatches, you have like 2 minutes to claim it as yours or else it starves to death. Now, you claimed him, good job! That was the easy part. The Giganotosaurus baby goes through an insane amount of food, so if you leave it alone in the first 24 hours without feeding it every... 5 minutes, it starves to death. You have to stay completely glued to the screen, taking care of the baby, for 24 irl hours, and that's just so he can last a few hours without dying of hunger, you still need to take care for like a week, and it takes two full weeks to get to adult stage. Since you're glued to the baby to make sure it doesn't die, you'll need someone to go grind stupendous amounts of meat for you to give to the baby, making it virtually impossible to do this alone.

Did i mention the imprint system? I did not huh. See, if you want your baby dino to grow strong and actually be worth your time, you'll need to manually do some tasks for the baby every 3 hours on the dot, be it taking it for a walk, petting it, or giving it extremely rare food. You have to do this every 3 hours, on the dot, for 2 weeks, or your dinosaur will come out subpar and simply not worth the time.

If you did all that, congratulations, you now have a dinosaur that can reach levels up to 400,where taming can get you only as far as 260 or so. Your dino is a god in stats. Of course, however, he can't do SHIT against certain enemies out in the wild, because some of them have a 90% damage reduction or can inflict a 5% max health bleed, making your stats virtually useless. Your dino is basically a PvP machine that if you aren't controlling, will die very quickly.

Holy shit i can rant too much about this game, talking about the chuubas playing Ark made me get 4 years worth of PTSD.

Offline is pretty lonely. It's like Minecraft, you have some fun at the start but then you get bored. Boosting rates to make you get shit quickly makes it very unsatisfying, but you'll have to do it to play singleplayer unless you like investing months into a singleplayer world like i did. This game is really fun when you're in a tribe, I've made many friends and memories with completely random people, and i did play singleplayer for a good while too, getting to the endgame (at the time it was super early in the game so endgame wasn't that hard) , once i got the strongest dino, i decided to go confront the boss. Turns out the boss isn't meant for singleplayer so i lost my strongest dino which i spent like a full week getting. From that i decided to join the official servers, and my cancerous relationship with the game begun.
