Raft truly falls apart as a game after you reach the point where you can sustain life. The diving -> shark kill -> underwater resource gathering loop just isnt good, is never made easier or automated, and the game requires you to collect mindboggling amounts of it in order to progress. Everything good about earlygame raft game design just disappears the moment you start doing islands, even the controls somehow feel worse.
