Most of the girls aren't wealthy enough to pay a fee, such as the AkioAir girls who are doing emergency donothons to pay off the fee (this isn't a viable option for girls without established communities on their indies). Copyrighted content just means they can't monetize the VOD and it may be banned in some countries. Any money made will go to the copyright holders instead of the chuuba. There are like a billion lyrics channels that straight up repost whole songs for millions of views, so I don't think EN karaokes are gonna put their Youtube channel in danger. Unarchiving them seems like more of a money-making ploy. Since they can't make money off the VODs, they just unarchive it and hope to drive more viewership and donos cause it's an unarchived stream.
