Not really. It's a completely valid argument and this has been proven accurate in just about every language. If you're not a fluent speaker of a language you are far, far more likely to believe that almost any level of voice acting is good but you are far, far more likely to be extremely critical of voice acting in your native language. This has been studied and documented.

Also the fact that Japanese studios tend to typecast extremely hard isn't exactly a point in their favor. It makes characters interchangeable and sterile. How many ara ara mommies are actually distinct from one another? How many nasally, high-pitched villain henchmen are distinct? You shouldn't be able to know 95% of everything there is to know about a character just by knowing their VA.

Do we actually think Rissa will get her own place once her checks come in? From everything she's told us, she is fond of her family and they all live together, including the married ones. Moving would certainly help with her streaming, she might be able to get a better ISP, she'd have better soundproofing and time and space to herself so she wouldn't have to worry about inconveniencing anyone or they her. On the other hand she seems to be close to her family and would lose the pets that aren't hers. I think ideally she'd move somewhere that a better ISP services but is still close to her family home.

If she moves it would probably be somewhere in the same town like the rest of her family. They don't all live under the same roof, only her, the bro and parents live in the same house. They're the type of family that always 'pops in' on each other and are really close. Small town midwest families are like this. They often live a few blocks from each other and constantly visit.

Depending on how remote her town is there may be no decent ISP options. Some places only got even DSL like 10 years ago. Otherwise, if she lives someplace halfway civilized there are several ISPs and she could get at least a business connection, if nothing else. My guess for the reason she hasn't already upgraded is because it's a pain to upgrade/change connections usually and she's been busy.

I know that. Most good song translations aren't a 1 to 1 translation. That's why Rachie's version of Idol is so much better than the official EN version. I'm just looking forward to listening to her unique version. It's gonna be cool listening to her do an English cover for a song I already enjoy an English cover of. I know there was a pretty popular version of Aishite Aishite Aishite, but I'd never listened to it before hearing Rissa's version, while I've listened to an indie vtuber's cover of Rissa's upcoming song hundreds of times since it came out 2 years ago.
