Normies and tourists, people who just saw a funny clip once or subscribed when the novelty was fresh, but have since gotten bored/busy and moved on, or were never actually committed hardcore invested fans in the first place who'll religiously turn up to watch every stream (or even most streams at all).
Happens to all big streamers more or less, that's why you see channels that have subcounts in the millions but can "only" get a few thousand people to actually show up to watch a stream live, which makes for a pretty paltry engagement rate of sometimes even below one percent. Sure, there's some variation between circumstances, but for the vast majority of people, giving someone a "sub" doesn't mean they're actually going to show up to watch every stream, it rather has about as much little meaning as a "like" on xitter, and just like channels amass so many "deadsubs" of people who don't watch, the people themselves collect garbage subs of channels they've long forgotten and just never actually bother to clean out.

She still does that "randomly repeat the last sentence you've said again, but translated in japanese" thing, as if there are enough jops in the audience that they warrant such special consideration. Though to be fair, she has really toned it down from the frequency of the debut period where she was doing it basically every other minute, and now does it maybe only once every ten minutes or so. Some streams have even no jp sentences at all, and she mostly keeps it only to (what she thinks are) "important" announcements etc.

It's not like there's much she could do to "appeal" more to jops anyway. If she did full jp-pandering streams again she'd probably alienate more en watchers than she'd really gain jp ones, nevermind the fact that they already have more than enough of their own vtubers who fit them much better.

Irys, Baelz and Fuwamoco prove that appealing to both audiences can work but they did it from their debut and stuck to it. Its too late for Kiara and appealing to a new audience would be an uphill battle, but I think she could still pull it off. Her holotalks have a big japanese viewer audience (check her comments section) and she appeared in many official channel japanese shows. It's just that she never capitalized on that exposure. Imagine if she announced a more japanese focused stream or project during a holotalk (when japs actually watch her)

I don't really care either way, for example I found the seething about her self-dubbing too much in the beginning way overblown. Nevermind the fact that most of the people complaining weren't even actual "concerned fans" in the first place, but just bad-faith shitposters using any available angle. And especially nowadays it's totally negligible.

I'm simply just observing the fact that, and this is without judgement, if she thinks her providing some live-TL for jops (if that counts as "pandering") would bring massively increased new jop viewers (or even just keep the remaining ones around), well it hasn't exactly produced noticeable results.
She probably knows this as well and eased up on chasing to be the only/best EN talent for jop viewers as her standout selling point, nevermind the fact that nowadays there are also simply many more other en talents to choose from who speak varying degrees of japanese as well.

The next big/full 3D mv should not be a Kpop song. I know she likes those songs and most KFP will say her voice suits kpop well which it kinda does but I feel like something else should get a chance to shine.
