She definitely has potential, however this is Hololive, I'm looking for more than "potential" here and if she doesn't improve, she's nothing special. Unquestionably renewing, but I will admit to bias. As the reason for wanting to subscribe to Nerissa is simply "I want to support her", it's pretty 2-dimensional for me. I really don't understand why she isn't leaning into her strengths more often. More karaoke is an obvious one. If she really wants to do this many collabs they should primarily be chatting or involve games that lend well to chatting with at least two other people(every single Advent collab that has been entirely chatting or a casual game that promotes discussion has been amazing.) Solo stream game choices have been very questionable but she's not at all the "gamer" type so I'm not sure what could be done about this(I'd rather watch her play a casual game than attempt a "real" game and get a RE Village level performance out of her.) Bijou can game, FWMC are hilariously bad and can chaotically bounce off each other, Shiori isn't the best but is at least competent and has a million stories/tangents to go on about but Nerissa is in an awkward spot where she's not great, is frustratingly bad rather than hilariously bad and her zatsu skills don't really shine unless she's with someone else.

I want to see her play more games she's passionate about like Harvest Moon because those have some of her best solo conversations.

I don't buy this. I'm sure she's doing some recording behind the scenes to keep the covers coming but she can't be doing that many. Everyone knows it's best to stagger song releases so there's no reason for her to be recording in bulk. Here's my rrat for why she doesn't do karaokes: She's in a cramped home with tons of family around at all hours of the day. She probably feels embarrassed and/or uncomfortable singing, especially for prolonged periods with them around. Even though she's good at singing she could still feel some embarrassment or anxiety knowing her family can hear her, she doesn't have a soundproof booth after all. She streams at 1900 CST, literally prime time for EVERYONE to be home and meandering about. It's possible that a kind girl like her would feel bad about being loud and disturbing everyone. She's also stated before how she has a limited repertoire of songs and genres she knows about. It may not sound like a big deal, but for a tryhard perfectionist like Rissa this is a hurdle. So far it doesn't seem like she would sing songs "just for fun," she has to perform them to some standard in her head.
But maybe doing a karaoke once every week or two would be alright regardless? Then the first (full) karaoke stream happens with all the technical difficulties and emotional turmoil that stream caused. She even cried on stream. Not to mention she still has mic issues here and there like random pops, I mean she couldn't even get the mic to work correctly on Vaudeville yesterday. Again, if you're a jailbird you know Rissa is a perfectionist when it comes to the music stuff especially. Days prior to the karaoke she was talking about resting her voice and wearing a scarf around her throat (95 Fahrenheit/35 Celsius in midwest at the time btw) and drinking that special vocalist tea. That stream was possibly her worst anxieties and fears come to life.
So she thinks fuck it, the covers are garnering millions of views, people clearly like them, she can record them in her closet where no one can hear her, plus she can sperg out and min/max the songs exactly how she likes. No mic issues, no brother torrenting Roman history 4k upscale documentaries next door fucking with her bandwidth, no problems.

I membered her the instant the memberships opened. It would take some titanic fuckup from her in the following week for me not to renew it. I'll admit that parts of September were rough and I had doubts as to how she will proceed (even some fears that it would be all downhill from there on) but I was fully won over after the mengen. Bumped my tier and bought the starter voice as well.

Bit by bit she's getting better in almost all of her weaker areas, and I'm a fan of that, and plan to continue voting with my wallet on her trajectory. Nerissa Ravencroft the person is already amazing but Nerissa Ravencroft the streamer really could do with some guidance and experience.

I like her solo zatsu content the most and when she leans into that she has no equal for me. A chill game series with only occasional plot and action interruptions is what I'm hoping the most for for her to do. Her game choices seem all over the place so far but at least as she has shown with vaudeville she can make them work even when the game sucks. Still would prefer that she put more effort into picking them out.

I also believe that many things could improve if she were living on her own. She could have the proper internet that she actually needs, more freedom as to when to stream, maybe even a dedicated room outfitted for recording in. I'd miss the cat cameos though (more specifically, her cutely meowing back at him).
