Surely Vedal isn't crazy enough to implement her chess ability that way?
I know that you can tune Stockfish to play at different strengths, and he could even make it adaptive, so that we get a fairly balanced game with whichever vtuber collab partner she is playing against.
Alternatively he could make her start at 10 ELO, and after each game increase her ELO by 10, until she could beat all the bots on Chess.com.
If he's feeling really creative, though, he could introduce some extra code to allow Evil Neuro to play by cheating and making illegal moves.
I'd love to see a collab partner react to that, with Evil Neuro gaslighting them that the move was perfectly reasonable.

I think he likes to let Neuro start from scratch and not use a pre-existing AI, but I don't know how difficult it is to create a chess AI using the same methodes as OSU or Among us.

For chess it's pretty clear that it will be some sort of collaboration with Chess.com so it might be based on their existing system, but considering how long it's taking there might be something else going on.

For OSU, the input is "see circle" and the output is "click the circle", and for Among Us the input is "see objectives and players" and the output is "go to objective or to player or kill player".
He cheated with Among Us by giving the agent a path finding algorithm, and he cheated even more with Minecraft by just downloading a pre-trained algorithm that does everything, so he shouldn't be too proud to let Stockfish do some of the heavy lifting for him.

He's done both, some evilxneuro collabs were done by sending the TTS output to the speech recognition they use for collabs, some were done by sending the text outputs from the LLMs. And it's possible that he can't just easily pull the non-pirate version because it may be generated at the LLM level instead of being transformed afterwards.

Expected nothing/still disappointed. When I first learned of Neuro (mid jan so already a huge dedicated fanbase), everything was great. I loved LLMs I loved textgen I hated chatbots but Neuro opened my eyes. They didn't just exist for retards to shit up already coomer-infested textgen discussion with their shitty anime character ERP. She was funny and calming and cute and insightful. It was so so promising to see creative use of this cool technology being received well.

I expected vedal to take one of two routes: either A) pack the weeks full of stuff like the Snuffy roleplay stream, as surely there was no shortage of people eager to handhold Neuro through fun activities. This was the likelier, easier option, it's just what you do with LLMs, you patiently guide them which is something chat can't do hence the need for handlers/playmates. Or B) maintain an autistic dedication to his vision of an automated AI vtuber. So more tinkering with prompts, setting up presets that Neuro could cycle to herself randomly or for certain segments of the show, have her control stream elements through keywords (enough people spamming can skip/choose a segment), leverage the twitch API for cool shit. Like that one game where two chatters are called into a virtual courtroom to debate a topic, while the streamer mediates and the rest of chat acts as jury. To quoth the filian, the possibilities are truly endless.

Instead we got C) evil and hastily thrown together key jangling streams for new viewers who just enjoy the community and spamming in chat lol they don't care. After all this AI stream isn't about an AI anymore it's about the banter between chat and generic twitch streamer #348168781259 rumao. For real I understand that vedal has his own passions, he wants to work on machine learning and games right now. Neuro the Chatbot has ceased to tickle him, so he chooses to do other stuff until he can switch to a """"smarter""" model. I even made a few posts on what I'd like to see collab partners try to do. It always feels so much potential is out there even with current Neuro and its been left untapped.

Now to be fair I also think Vedal has the Midas touch and his heart is at the right place, at least when we assume he has been honest with his statements. He is the right man at the right place in the right time, now he just needs to do the right thing.

We have to remember he probably has been pretty overwhelmed with all this and its much easier to be a critic at the peanut gallery than actually run the show especially if its your first rodeo.

Those mods already exist and it's easy to set up. It could be done. You don't even have to code anything for neuro or give the AI access to any controls. The mods detect words being said and then spawn the mobs.

What we need is the Zoo collab. Someone to take Neuro to zoo with IRL cam. That was the dream back in the day. Onigiri would have been perfect as she already did it during cooking collab but now she lives in Japan and the timezones won't ever work. Maybe Lumituber could do it but then Vedal would need to start a lot earlier.

It would have to be someone who has already leaked their face so there is no issues with reflections.
