The main one is that she kinda has this phobia of both being the last person awake in the house and orange/dim lighting while trying to sleep. It apparently was mainly from when she was a kid, and would lie awake at night thinking about how all the adults that are asleep have already warped to the morning essentially, so she'd end up psyching herself out trying to join them such that that orange lighting gives her goosebumps even if it's like highway lights while trying to sleep in the car during road trips.

Though the prose is pretty dry at the start, I liked how it emanates that energy of being chased once they started running from Fubuki. While I was reading, I was feeling that 'oh shit, oh shit, she's gonna get us' vibe. The descriptions also did a good job of illustrating what is happening, and the dialogue (while wooden in some parts) is pretty alright. I wish there were more Miko-isms though.
My favorite part was when Fubuki them because Chloe didn't take a shower. Got a chuckle out of me, that one did.
I don't really see that many fics making Cover Corp. out like it's a sort of "X-Com"-ish organization, but I like the idea. Kind of like the X-Files, with the girls sent out to investigate paranormal activity on top of their streaming duties. I think that would be a good setting to explore in the future for you.
Also, maybe you want to practice writing in a prose format rather than greentext. The transition can take a lot of work, but it improves the readability of fics a lot in my opinion.
tl;dr the fic's a bit of a slog in the beginning, but otherwise it's alright. Good work!

The pace and content of this chapter was pretty easy to read and follow. Each scene had a clear flow and purpose which you did a good job with showcasing. At the time I read it there was an extra line spacing around where the letter was found. I don't know if you caught that already or not. There was another typo somewhere else earlier in the chapter but I can't remember what it is, if anything it was a minor sentence structure thing.
I thought the conversations with Fubuki were a nice tough. I'm just gonna let you cook with this still, but I still have no idea why Anon retains his salt towards Ayame.
The dragon might be my new favorite character though.

It can still change, but currently it's called An Oni's Rebellion. The first part was called A Hedonist's Reckoning because hedonist and reckoning contain "oni", but there's not many useful words that fit into that pattern so I don't want to stick to it (rebellion does come pretty close, but rebellioni sounds like a kind of Italian pasta).
The current idea is that it'll be a trilogy that goes through the late afternoon and evening you spend with your girlfriend Ayame, focused on the BDSM dynamic in the relationship you two share and love. It started out with a disciplinary spanking, but becomes more and more intimate and romantic as the day grows old. Accordingly, Ayame's descriptor in the title changes from hedonist (implying a slut eager for casual sex and with selfish behaviour, fitting for the classic rrat!Ayame) to oni (a more neutral description of what she is, and also referencing the increased focus on her non-human peculiarities). The third part will probably call her something positive-romantic in the title, like girlfriend or lover.
The rebellion in the title refers to the roleplaying antics she employs to give you a reason to dominate and punish her (not that you wouldn't do it otherwise, but it's more fun with a bit of roleplay).

I called it The Cover Job because of its double meaning, since you're working for Cover Corp., and because your job as a vtuber is a "cover job" for your real occupation. It also sounded like one of those classy movies, which was the sort of "professional" feel I was going for. I could also name Anon's previous assassinations using a similar formula, like the ballroom job or the biker job. Someone's gonna make a handjob joke, I know it.
I usually think of titles last since the themes and narratives of my WIPs will constantly change as I write them, meaning a title could lose all meaning by the end if I pick it at the start. Right now I have multiple documents that have yet to be named, like: "Lamy Yakuza", "Shion Niece", "Road Trip Story", "Iroha Festival" and "Rosemi". One or two of these are probably going to be dropped anyway, so there'd be no point mulling over a title until a publication is locked in.

Truth be told, in its original incarnation the story was written in one sitting on a whim, while half-asleep, in a chat (hence the format it has), and then stored in a notepad file for later, where it was eventually cleaned up for here. The shaky start was rather apparent to me while editing, and I couldn't really figure out a way to improve it without rewriting most, if not all of it from scratch, which I didn't want to do since I like preserving these kinds of things in the state they were first written. In the future, if I do post more stories here, such as the follow up to this one, they will be done in a more conventional format, or at the very least, have more refining put into them. As for the base concept as I recall, it's less X-com-inspired and could more loosely be described as "the Kingsmen but using an idol company (and others) as cover," though this is largely just background in what I've written so far.
