I've liked Rune's art for a very long time now, even before I joined this server, and I clearly see the value Rune gives to this community. My message was supposed to be a reminder about our rules in a joking way, like I used to do in other channels. Rune, me, and most of the chatters know the reason why this warning might've been issued. But, it did not have the right wording to be perceived that way, and I apologize for this.

But I also like Neuro with all my heart, and, given her public image and perception, she is something to be actively protected from lewd imagery. I am still a moderator of this server, and I have the right to enforce the rules. That's the exact purpose of moderation in the first place—to enforce rules. And I am not the only moderator here. We are all trying to make this server a better place for newcomers and oldtimers alike. And normalizing something on the line is not the best way to handle this.

I still stand by my initial intention to remind him about our rules. And, to extend, everyone in this discussion. And no, there is no personal attack on Rune or anyone else from me. Why would I personally attack people whose art I enjoy watching? I will not (and never did) apply my personal feelings to any of my moderation work, all the warnings and punishments were applied solely based on the rules.

Rune is an artist, one of the earliest, in fact, who greatly contributed to the channel, most of the banner art on the twitch channel and numerous emotes on both discord and twitch were done by Rune.
A few days ago, Rune returned after a hiatus (not going to speculate on the reasons for the hiatus and it's not important) and posted a cropped image of neuro, a new piece of fanart from Rune. As it was cropped, it did not contain anything explicit and therefore was not against the rules. Mods took it as such anyway because they have a vendetta against anything remotely lewd and are jealous of Rune's good reputation in the community. Cue first post from pic related.
Rune, understandably, was going to fuck off if he's not going to be welcome and because it's messed up to deny an artist the ability to promote their art. But the first instance still got smoothed over, Alex got involved, and the mod team convinced Rune that they'll be a bit more reasonable with the moderation efforts.
Cue almost immediately afterwards the second post, where cjmaxik makes a disgusting attempt to bully Rune into behaving, reminding Rune that the mods are the ones in power here, etc. Rune thankfully didn't let themselves get bullied and clapped back, and the community stood behind Rune so CJ faced a pretty significant backlash.
As a response CJ posted that wall of text in the picture and considered that his apology. Now, if you look at it, you will notice how pathetic it is, because it contains zero apology, zero self-reflection and zero understanding of the situation basically reiterating that cj was right and we were wrong.
The mod team considered the whole thing solved with cj's "apology" and so, as a result, Rune actually left the discord server and confirmed that they will not be drawing neuro art anymore.
This understandably triggered a huge melty in these threads and on discord because if the dipshit mods can bully one person into leaving neuro's community just because they don't like them, it can happen to anyone. What if 2pfrog goes a bit too far with one of his edgy jokes and the situation repeats? etc.
The discussion also evolved more generally into the moderation of the twitch chat, neuro's image and direction, etc. The discussion culminated in an 80-minute gathering in voice chat on the discord by the community (a recording is posted in this thread) during which Vedal promised to hire a community manager and with their help set clearer guidelines for everything.
