Stagnation is usually ultimately a problem of not having your stream be exposed to enough people to make up for the natural attrition of viewers that every channel has over time. You sort of enter an equilibrium where the number of new people being interested in your stream hits the number of people becoming uninterested.

There are two ways you can approach fixing this and growing again, by exposing yourself to larger numbers of people or by trying to increase the appeal and quality of your stream itself.

Think of it like this, let's say you have a 1% chance of anybody exposed to your stream becoming a solid reaccurring viewer and maybe you expose yourself to 100 new people per month by doing what you are currently doing. To increase your growth by 10% you could either increase the quality and appeal of your stream by 10% or advertise yourself to 10 more people. I would say it's almost universally easier (for aspies at least) to increase your exposure by 10 people than it would be to increase your appeal the equivalent amount barring fixing some obvious problems like terrible mics and other technical problems. Large swings in viewership among aspies are almost always due to changes in the amount of exposure they are getting rather than the quality of their stream changing in any appreciable way. I would go so far as to say that every aspie here could get 3 digit ccv if they had enough exposure, including even the least appealing aspie. So generally I think people should focus on getting their name out there before improving the quality of their stream.

I would encourage people having problems with this to ask your senpai what they did to increase their reach. There are many many ways to go about it and there is no one size fits all answer so you should really try all sorts of things here.

Thank you anon. I've always wanted to reach out to people, but my content is hard to advertise, I don't have a vision for it. I'm pretty individualistic, for me the brand and the person I am is more important to me than trying anything in the book. Well all I can say is that I highly recommend asking other creators what they think caused them to grow to where they are now. How they think viewers were able to fund them. You might get some interesting answers that you might not have thought of. Maybe you wouldn't be able to or willing to do consider a similar strategy, but you might run into something perfect for you. And don't feel self conscious about asking either, it is a flattering thing to be asked for advice like this from other creators.

Oh don't worry about that, I have a lot of dialogue with peers, I even invite them on my show to talk about the hobby. But the answer is different for everyone. I think in the end I just need to accept that i'm very niche and I just have to be consistent and swallow my negativity and power through to build a small community that can sustain itself. Does anyone know how the algorithm on twitter generally works? Like for example, I recently posted a tweet that got about a hundred likes. Normally I would get maybe 20 at most. Does this mean that future posts are more likely to be given more impressions than before I had gotten that many likes? Does it matter that my follower number has not really increased much/at all?

Lets say I wanted to grow on Twitter. Should I avoid posting things that are less likely to get likes? Or is it best to just post a lot with a "seeing what shit will stick to the wall" mentality? Thanks anon. I managed to get the recording done but after 40 minutes I could definitely feel my voice giving out. Keeping my mouth and throat lubricated during it I think helped the most. I don't know how I'll ever be able to stream if just 40 minutes of soft talking and whispering fries my vocals.
