If you want to grow on Youtube, streaming is not the way to go.
Just do what you're doing Layla, and edit some VODs of gameplay with nice captions and what not.

Basically you need your videos to gather an audience by posting 2 a week. Then once you hit a critical mass of people watching your VODs - get those guys to watch your Shorts. Then you can time the Shorts to around when you go LIVE.

I never said I wanted to be a streamer. I said I want to be a VTuber. I am not sure which kind of content I am gonna focus on, it may not be live content. I will need to try it first and see how it goes.

If I don't pull it off, it's ok. I am just trying to have some fun doing something I never had the courage to do before and making people smile a bit. I never exposed myself like this before. If it's not for me, it's not for me. I'm gonna support you anyway and you will see some of my posts from time to time.

I have irl responsibilities that take priority for me, especially my health. This was meant to be just an hobby at first. I wasn't expecting that post to go viral. I wasn't ready for it to go viral either.

Yeah, my idea when I created the channel (which was just some weeks ago... please remember that people...) was just to try out YouTube for the first time. Twitch or streaming wasn't even on my mind until the post went viral and people started asking for it.

I always enjoyed watching streamers, and I follow VTubers, but I also follow VTubers who only create videos. I truly wasn't expecting to start streaming soon, I wasn't expecting people to watch my videos, much less to want me to stream.

I understand people on Twitch are always eager for the next stream, since almost no one watches vods there. And if I ever try Twitch I know I will need to be very consistent and stream a lot for long hours for it to work.

That's exactly why Twitch wasn't my first choice. I can't commit to that right now, irl work + freelance + health problems + family + streaming a lot is too much for my smol brain power.

YouTube may not work now because of it either. But it's ok. One day the work + freelance will slow down. Health will get more on track. Things get better. This is just my test drive.

A very easy way to do this is being appreciative of their interaction, but tell them that it's not matching what you envision for the stream. Something like:

"Hey there [name]

I get what you mean / I see where you are going with this

but

I'm not a huge fan of that / I don't really deal well with these questions"

The idea is to put the blame on you first and foremost for not being able to accomodate the viewer and then plead to drop the subject or wait for them to get the message. If they insist on pushing it, you can refer to previous statement and enforce it. "As I said I apologize, but I really can't deal with that / don't feel comfortable doing that on stream"

Now the blame lies with them because before they couldn't know your boundaries (even if some unwritten rules do exist) and now they decided to disregard them. A third time would give everyone else the impression that they are just being rude. Taking proper action like timing them out or banning them would then be understandable.

Feel free to adjust based on intent. Some viewers might be intentionally trying to get under your skin and might make it very obvious, no need to be overly diplomatic. It's your stream afterall. But showing goodwill gives you the opportunity to shine as a good streamer towards your other viewers too. It's all about image! In turn if you are too lax, people will think they can get away with anything, the streamer makes the chat. Some streamers, especially ones that grew bigger too quick might find themselves in a situation where they start antagonizing chat. I think that's a little sad.

I have done some RPG Maker streams before, i'm too small for anyone to care. I'll probably do it again in the future, but since i'm working on stuff I'm going to use for streams later and I don't want to spoil everything. I also have to learn the framework of RPG Maker which is kinda difficult you need to read through documentation and all that stuff, takes a while it's not as easy as just writing some code.

Art has intelectual protection for a reason. It isn't like any other job. It is creative. This isn't even about money or profit only, this is about intelectual property being protected from being used to teach machines with a superhuman capacity of pattern recognition and replication.

The creativity is only involved in the final product itself. Which is still protected as your own, just as a hand crafted mug is still branded with the name of the crafter. My only real problem with AI art is that there's no actual expression. Most art has human touches that give it personality. Exaggerations of expression, or tricks with color and lighting. Things that aren't terribly realistically accurate or anatomically correct, but are drawn from imagination to make it look good all the same. While an AI-generated illustration can be, on an objective level, visually without flaws, it lacks any of the touches that would make it interesting to the eye. AI lacks the capability to do anything more than it's told to do, so anything it makes isn't terribly expressive or interesting. I've noticed that in most AI art-- the scenarios are never very complex, and the expressions are sort of dull. Because machines aren't built for that.

I don't know. That's just my piece.

I'm not demonizing AI completely. I see its potential as a tool, I've even used it to study better techniques for my own art. But as it is now, it's widely unregulated because capitalism and profits, stealing from nonconsenting artists, etc. lots of policies I'm not qualified enough to discuss properly. It's a mess but I still draw despite it all because that's just what I love.

I mean, I've run into a fair amount of it, and I've done some learning on modern AI-- not on stable diffusion, but on deep learning techniques. An AI lacks the ability to truly think for itself, both because of the techniques we use to train it, and because we haven't yet figured out how to make it do anything independently.
