/asp/ is a thread for vtubers to give and receive advice related to vtubing.

there is no better test subject than yourself, both things can be tested on your end, there is no "average" brand of headphones so just focus on achieving an experience that you would enjoy hearing.

the least used ones and that commonly are lacking in quality are the "screech" type, screeching glass, screeching plastique, screeching metal, whatever there is that can be screeched. but if you really want to go for it, try to do some research, because the average "asmr" ends up being a complete ear-rape when it gets to the screeching sounds because they need special tuning, minute details that make them enjoyable and a good control over the sound that is being produced to really be a good screech.

I'm trying to write a script for an asmr video. Primarily for girls but homos are welcome too.
You're a customer in an apothecary. I have multiple scenarios for how to move forward but I'd like any input.

Scenario A [cute scenario]:
You ask for a love potion to be made. The apothecary obliges and whilst making it flirts and jokes with you about how they wish someone would order a love potion for them, how jealous it makes them and how pretty you are. The twist is that the love potion is for the apothecary and they just didn't know it.

Scenario B [horny scenario]:
You order a potion to be made, importantly not a love potion. During the process, the apothecary asks you to try the different ingredients as part of the experience and to prove the quality of the potion. The apothecary is also eating the ingredients alongside you. At the end of the process, the apothecary notes that they are feeling hot, their heart is fast and that you look red in the face and your eyes have turned to hearts. The apothecary then notices his mistake, he had been making a love potion this entire time and since you both ingested the ingredients, you're now under its effects immediately. Rest is history.

Scenario C [rapey scenario]:
Pretty much Scenario B but the apothecary is aware they're feeding you love potion ingredients and doesn't eat any themselves. During the process, they basically foreshadow that they're making a love potion in your stomach and talking about the different effects it has as you simultaneously begin to experience those effects but by that time, it's too late.

First thing I noticed was the mic peaking every time you say words with "s". Maybe try tuning it so it becomes softer on the ears.
Try getting closer to the mic as >>58263386 said. The deeper the sound appears inside the ear, the more tingly it feels.
Also noticed a severe lack of triggers. Even in asmr rps like this, I feel like there should be some sort of trigger. Something simple like ear cleaning or ear massage would do. Maybe use a tuning fork for the hypnosis theme.
You could also try adding ambiance for immersion. Stuff like rain or fireplace ambience.
