I literally didn't know and never watch Suisei before I came to /vt/. I saw ONE picture of her and then realized how attractive she was. In comparison, the other holos were more unique and fantasy-inspired flair, but lack the grounded charm Suisei had. Sora is the polar opposite where she's both too grounded and too generic. Without being a VTuber oldfag, you wouldn't care about her design in the slightest.
Suisei hit that goldilock zone between realistic and fantastic. Especially her blue permed hair, a very plausible hair model with unnatural color.

From the very beginning Suisei was designed to be fashionable. Her outfits in general are very well designed to feel wearable or at least something you can get to see in the street.
Sora's case is different. She has been wearing her default skimpy blue idol outfit for many years. That has made her less 'real' as a person and more like an anime character.
Her normal outfits in the Watanuki series showed a very different look of Sora but those were confined to the series.
The more recent variety of haistyles, the casual pink dress and her hoodie streetwear show that she has been mismanaged in the visual sense.
She can fill a girl fashion space as interesting as Suisei when given proper outfits.
